Hi! I was looking for a project to practice leather restoration/cleanup, and settled on an older coach bag. Thanks!

Item: "Classic Vintage coach saddle bag"

You picked a great style, one of my favorites. It's an authentic shoulder sac #9730 made in the 1980s. If you didn't know about it already, visit our rehab club for pointers. https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/coach-rehab-and-rescue-club.833400/

Sadly the ebay seller "megdil_0" never shipped this bag! I was not paying enough attention and it turns out she has 0 seller feedback. So be aware if you come across a listing by her.
I'm assuming you paid for the bag so if it's past the estimated delivery date shown on your order, you can open a case for INR (item not received).

The seller will have to respond with tracking within 3 days and if she doesn't do so, you should go back to the dispute and request that ebay step in. You'll get the refund and megdil_0's account will get dinged.

Good evening dear authenticators! A request to authenticate please. Thank you!!!

Item: Basic bag
Where purchased or how obtained: thrift store
Comments: dimensions are 7" height, 11" width, 2" depth

Please authenticate I would appreciate it, the no dash between the serial numbers is different.
Binocular Bag #9853 - Introduced Fall 1990 - Measurements 9 1/2 x 8 1/4 x 4
Bought on Poshmark as a rehab bag (done) and test subject for new replacement German made springlock. (works with no modifications to bag).
Yes, can you share where you got the replacement Springlock?

I don't understand what is meant by "the no dash between the serial numbers is different" but the bag is genuine.

If you mean that there is no dash between the two halves of the serial number, sometimes the people stamping the numbers make mistakes.

Hello, I hope someone can tell me if this listing is authentic. I have suspicions it’s not but I’m very new to this arena. I searched and was not able to find any prior authentications of this serial number or any bag of this type.

Item: envelope portfolio bag (I think)
Listing number: n/a
Seller and site where listed: yourgreatfinds.net
Link: https://yourgreatfinds.net/products/vintage-coach-envelope-portfolio-tote-bag?variant=44768271532282
Comments: I’m concerned about the crooked serial number, the depth the creed is stamped at, and the straightness of some of the stitching in available photos. There are more photos on the site linked but I am attaching what I think are the most relevant ones here for convenience. Thanks in advance!

I hope it’s ok to bump this - I think it got missed because I’m new and my post needed mod approval.

None of the things you mentioned are problems when it's an older bag. Read the Salearea Guides thread for some good information about vintage Coaches:

Yourbag is genuine and was made some time between the late 1970s and 1988.
