The bag is authentic. I believe you meant pre 1994, not after. It was made 1989-1993. The strap likely came from another bag. I'm not seeing anything in your pictures that makes me believe it wasn't made by Coach. The strap that normally came with the bag is 36 inches long but a longer strap could be substituted. The hangtag is fake.

ETA: hardware could have been replaced. Coach used to provide replacement hardware and there are still places you can buy it.

It's an authentic Chrystie and the springlock was used on that style.

The hangtag is fake and from a fake bag.

@whateve I feel like such an idiot. I am out of practice! Just above the accessory ring on the inside seam there is a ‘made in China’ tag. It is blank on the reverse side. Just for completeness for anyone’s files here is the pic.
It is interesting they did use white for the creed leather and the ring attachment and zipper pull.
No other tags attached to the inside seams. Thanks again!

Hi! I'm checking back in for an authentication on this one. I have the bag in hand now and can share some better photos, plus the "made in tag" photo as requested. Just touching and holding this bag, I can see it's amazing quality. However, I'm hoping the experts can weigh in. Thank you! The "creed" is tiny, which might be a factor in its quality of printing it's about 1.25 inches by 1.5 inches. I have pics of both sides of the "made in" tag. Thank you for your time and expertise!

Welcome. Please include seller IDs in requests and make sure listings show the pictures necessary for authenticating them.

Be very careful buying (and selling) on Poshmark. PM takes little action on reports and many sellers who've been kicked off ebay and other safer sites go to Poshmark.

I don't normally authenticate or promote for listings on PM but I felt the need to comment on the first seller, roxiesola1 so I did the others too.

1. Seller roxiesola1 - bag is fake. I'd avoid this seller.
