  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

Both items have arrived.
The box and the tag with the 2nd item confirms it's style #6994 as you stated. Not sure why the seller didn't note that in the listing and photos.

The first case is actually more of a burgundy shade than the red shown in the photo you posted. From side to side/outer edge of piping to outer edge of piping, it measures about 7.5" wide x 4.5" tall - close to what the seller states. Because it is larger than the diminisions stated for #7193, would it be a different style number and year?
It could be the same year but a different style number that I don't have a catalog photo of. It looks like it is from the same collection.

Hi Authenticators, can you please take a look at this pocket mirror I purchased and share your thoughts? Is it vintage? Do you the style number? Have a photo to share?
Thank you!

I've done more sleuthing and found these photos. Could it be style 6990?

Hello!

GW posted this bag and I was wondering if the male and female parts of the snap are typical for this bag and the other styles with this type of snap from that era/style family, please. I see it was used in a number of bags featured in the 1992 Fall Special Edition catalogue.

I'm a nerd and have been keeping notes on what I've learned here and would like to add a note for this one. Thanks so much!

Hello Ladies! Are you able to authenticate this bag for me? I purchased it at a local thrift store.

Item: It appears to be made after 1994 so the creed doesn’t reflect the Style number but I believe it to be #9635 Convertible Clutch. It measures 11 1/4”w x 7.5”h x 2 1/4”d.

A few things that have got me worried are: the strap is adjustable and I am not sure this was made for this style. More so than that, the strap does not feel at all like the bag. It feels like foam almost. The direction of the hangtag verbiage is also inconsistent with a few other vintage hang tags I have. The hole for the chain should be on the “c” end and this is positioned in the “h” end. It also does not feel like leather but foam. There is also a bullseye near the creed. The male end of the turn lock also looks to be a smidge longer than another turn lock bag I have. Also it’s strange but given the age of this bag, the hardware almost looks too perfect. Thank you so very much for your help!!

It was called a springlock. That one looks typical. The bag is authentic.
