@whateve may have more information, I don't have much experience with pre-creed bags. There was at least one Small Shoulder Bag style that was made with a turnnlock, style 9530 with the same 8x6-inch measurements as yours, and possibly in a non-turnlock version that I think has been discussed here before and is probably what you have, made in the 1970s would be my guess. Here's just one of the posts where it was mentioned:

I don't know how early Coach was making Spectator styles. It might also be a case where the bag needed the piping repaired or replaced and it was suggested by Coach's in-house repair service to use a contrasting color instead of trying to match the original bag color. It's a great combination. I owned a Station Bag with a similar modification but in BT with black trim. Here's a post about the one I owned, which was made more recently than yours:

More opinions are welcome.
Thanks for the information. I find myself going down a rabbit hole to see if I can find out anything more about it.

Trying again thanks to @CaseyBoston (this community is amazing )

The bag you've asked about is authentic but linda*s***stuff has had "authenticated" fakes too so it's always a good idea to verify.

Good morning. I was given this by a family member who has had it for many years, but has no idea where she purchased it. Could I get an authentication and maybe an ID? I am eternally lost in the world of coach turnlock flap bags. It measures 11 x 8 1/2 x 3 1/2. It has three full length pockets: one inside with a zip closure, one under the front flap and one on the back.

Dear authenticators,
Please authenticate this bag for me.
I have tried to copy link again but not working well for me so I sent the screenshots of the listing. My copied link had about 30 lines of symbols/letters rather than a neat link like the rest of the group here.

Site: Ebay US, I viewed from Ebay UK
Item no: 155807753839
Seller: jakka2446
Note: Navy and brown Spectator bag

Dear Authenticators,
Thank you in advance! If you could please help me authenticate these two bags, I would truly appreciate it:

Item: Mahogany Brown 9010 Berkeley Duffle Sac 9” bottom diameter x 13 1/4” tall , adjustable strap 34 1/2”
Where purchased or how obtained: Thrift Store
Comments: Was it made in 1996? I thought I had read this bag was only manufactured for one year, is that correct?

Item: Black 9888 Lindsay 9” wide x 8 1/2” tall x 2 1/2” deep, adjustable strap 48”
Where purchased or how obtained: Estate sale
Comments: Wondering if I have the name and style number correct and what year this was made as well, thanks so much.
P.S. Added two pics of the creed since it was difficult to photograph!
