It's authentic and according to @Hyacinth 's post, it's a Mail Pouch from the 1994 Holiday preview catalog:
ACK! I missed it on page 17 and I did not do a search for that style number here. Only Google. Sorry! Thank you BeenBurned for your help, authentication and guidance!

Hi, I bought a Willis bag on eBay that I’m very worried is a fake. Please take a look. Here’s the info:
Platform: eBay
Link: Gone already since I bought it - see my photos. I took photos of the Crete and the two suspicious areas. The rest of the bag looks fine to me.
item number: 335044289244
Seller: Adriac1971 (unfortunately, I did not notice that the seller has only sold two things, meaning that they may very well have assumed a new identity.)
Creed number: J4D-9927
Comments:
I received the bag yesterday, and what made me suspicious was not the creed number, although I know some J numbers are fakes. I looked it up here and found there were legitimate bags with this number. The two things wrong with it:

1) see photo of the back of the turn lock. (I circled the suspicious area in yellow.) There is no way to take it off - the prongs are sewed in and covered by leather. Possibly the old turn lock and leather surrounding it were damaged and this is a replacement. More likely, it’s a fake.
2) the stitching on the trim inside the bag is even, but the leather itself is crooked at the overlap.IMG_0402.jpeg

Please confirm. The seller “does not accept returns.” But if it’s a fake, they have to.IMG_0403.jpeg

You’re correct. The bag is fake and if you open a NAD (not as described) case, you’ll get a refund whether the seller accepts returns or not.

ETA: After you open the claim, the seller will have 3 days to respond with either a refund (without return) or with a prepaid return shipping label.

If the seller doesn't respond by the deadline, you can go back to the case and ask ebay to step in. You'll get the refund and the seller will be dinged for not resolving it on her own.

Thanks so much - none of the photos in the listing showed the two problems I mentioned. I have to slow down before bidding…

Dear Authenticators,
I am selling this Willis 18 that I purchased on eBay in June. It’s just too small for me. Will you please take a look? Since I did not buy it directly from Coach, I would like to verify if your willing…Let me know if you need more photos, I tried my best on the creed ;)
Thank you

Another rare-ish vintage beauty. Please and thank you for an authentication and identification. I think this is a 4055 Soft Satchel from around 1989. Can't wait to rehab this one. I can already tell how gorgeous it is. Also, I know guessing color is hard, but I think this is blue, not black as advertised. Does it look blue to you?

Genuine Soft Satchel from the early 1990s. The 1989 and 1990 catalogs don't even list Navy as an available color, so I'm going to guess that it's Black. The few Blue examples in the 1989 and 1990 catalogs actually look like a dark blue.
