BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.

  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

Hi! I sold this on poshmark and the buyer is convinced it’s fake because she says it’s not as heavy as her other bags. I told her coach used different types of leather throughout the years but also told her I would get it authenticated and ask here!
Serial number 9791. I’m honestly not sure of the measurements:/ thank you so much!!!!

It's authentic. It's not a "lightweight" but the leathers used varied. This was made in 2001 so it is possible the leather was a little thinner that year. Customers may have complained about weight.

Let us know what happens with your buyer.

It's an authentic city bag. The stamps like this have been discussed on the forum. I don't know if we have a guide for them. Maybe someone else knows.

Theonly VALID comparisons that can ever be made between Coach bags is between 2 genuine bags with EXACTLY the same style number and preferably made in the same plant, month and year. Coach has used different weights and thicknesses of leather over the years as well as different types and weights of hardware. Comparing the weights of different styles is useless to "prove" authenticity and is also a waste of time. That's like saying I should be the same height and weight as my cousin.

The bag in the photos is a GENUINE Large Daypack made in 2001.

Personally I've never even bothered to analyze or collect information on "irregular" stamps since Coach never explained their reason for using them and I've never found any common denominators among bags with that stamp.
