BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

Hi everyone— could someone tell me if this is authentic and what the style number might be? I’ve seen several others listed in online shops but no number and the leads I thought I had (from searching this thread) ended up being other styles of cosmetic cases. Gotcha, I'm not tech savvy but I will try and do that next time. Maybe I'll try on the computer as my phone I think is harder to see those things.

It's authentic, made in 1994.

Did the buyer say why she thinks it's fake? Is it possible that she saw your no return policy and felt she needed an excuse to return it?

Feel free to refer your buyer here if it's reassurance she's looking for. If it's a return, tell her to return for refund. If it sold once, it'll sell again.

Thank you once again, @BeenBurned. I've provided a cut and paste of the authentication as well as a link to this page to both the buyer and ebay. We shall see what happens. I've asked for her concerns and gotten no response. I think it's buyers' remorse. Annoying but not the first, nor the last. Thanks again.

The last thing you want is for the buyer to escalate and have ebay resolve the dispute. If that happens, the buyer

Hi! Could anyone be able to confirm this as being fake? It resembles the Basic bag, but it was listed with very little information and I've never seen a serial # with a 0 before the style number. To be honest, I ordered it knowing it was most likely a fake because I needed that style of hang tag to go onto an authentic Soho Mini Basket that I have that is missing one, so for the price I paid I figured it was worth the gamble. Thanks in advance!

It's absolutely authentic! And it IS a basic bag. When Coach remade that style (2013 for your bag), style numbers were 5 digits so for consistency, they added a zero in front of 4 digit styles.

For future requests, please refer to and include the information required as shown in the highllighted post at the top of each page of the thread.
