IMPORTANT READ-ME

Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread. No PMs please.
For further information, please refer to the first post on page 1 of this thread.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:
  • FOR ITEMS LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Listing number:
    Seller and site where listed
    Link:
    Comments:

  • FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Where purchased or how obtained
    Comments:
BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

You have an authentic bag.

Get the "YKK zipper" myth out of your brain. Zipper brand has NOTHING to do with authenticity.

For future requests, please refer to the yellow highlighted post at the top of each page of this thread with the required information that includes source and when an online listing, seller ID and a link to the listing.
Thank you very much, appreciate your time!

I resell bags and recently came upon this one. Looked okay but when I received it problems arose. Leather does not feel right, hangtag is lopsided and zipper not ykk. The only thing that is throwing me off is the Towanny front pocket snap. I am 90% sure I have a fake on my hands..could you verify my concerns? Thank you

Every post I haveever made on this forum should have my comments about the "YKK Myth" under it as my Signature. Please read it. The Salearea Coach Guides that I researched and published in Ebay's now-vanished Guides section was available as early as 2012 and available here at tPF starting in 2018 and includes a section specifically about that bogus and long-proven-as-fake "YKK Zipper Rule". Anyone using a zipper brand as proof of authenticity has probably made some serious mistakes and needs to stop using zippers to authenticate Coaches immediately. Please read and take these Guides seriously. ANY so-called "guide", internet blog, or other source claiming that Coach uses only YKK zippers and Coaches with different zipper brands are fake is seriously inaccurate and always has been and should be ignored, deleted or discarded. It's not worth the electrons it took to post or print it.

I didn't know those rules. I got it on ebay but I'm not sure how to link to the listing..I did get an immediate refund btw for the one u guys told me was a fake
If you are using the eBay app, you can get the link to the listing by click the arrow in the top right corner and then looking for the “copy link” option in the screen that pops up. Then you can paste that when writing a post

Thank u! Im technology challenged
It's important for us to have this information. It helps others so they can do a search on the forum. They'll be able to see if we have already authenticated the listing, and they can see if we have authenticated items from that seller before. It helps the authenticators so we can determine if there is a pattern to a particular seller's listings.

I bid last minute for the rambler. I did not look at the pictures in detail. I get impulsive. I think it looks good but I'm going to a vintage sale/swap in two weeks and want to sell the fabric ones or give them away but don't want to pass on counterfeit.

One is a very obvious, hall of shame fake bag. Which will go away. But I am not sure about the others. I think the black one is ok but I'm iffy on the brown one.

Thank you in advance.

It's easier to do it this way. I've attached a picture.

There are 3 items that are okay. The 2 tan ones are fake.

Good deal even with the fakes. The Rambler's Legacy is authentic. Both brown ones are fake. The rest look good.

Hello all! I'm checking the authenticity of this bag.

PM @STARGIRL465

I've never bought a lined bag or China made bag so I figured I'd try them both out together!

Thank you IA!
