I'll go a step beyond @Hyacinth's opinion. I believe that bag is fake. The H plant font is wrong. (I think the serial prefix shows J8H. Not only was the H plant closes (afaik) by 1998 but it was certainly not in operation in 2003.)

But I'd like to see a picture of the interior of the back showing the creed along with the inside. From the picture I see, the creed appears to be stScreenshot_20230421_161148_eBay.jpgamped directly onto the leather (?) pocket rather than an attached patch as it should be.

Was this bag found in an online listing? If so, please post a link to the listing.

ETA: All other AUTHENTIC bags of the style have bridle leather creed text. Examples:

Thanks for the creed photos, BB! there weren't any for that style in my files, until now. :flowers:

Since the bag is from ebay, you have 30 days from receipt to open a return request for "not as described," picking "doesn't seem authentic" as the reason.

The seller banksstreetsupplyco will have 2 choices; she can issue a full refund without requiring the return or she can purchase and supply a prepaid shipping label for you to return the item to the seller.

If the seller doesn't respond to the dispute by the date they tell her to or if she doesn't issue a refund after receipt of the return, you can go back to the case and request that ebay step in.

You WILL get a full refund.

What do our trusted authenticators think here? A bad real Coach, or a bad fake coach?

Item: COACH Vintage Casey Bag Leather Crossbody Handbag 9923
Listing number: 166044890820
Seller and site where listed: eBay, jrkimika
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/166044890820
Comments: the stitching honestly looks very messy on this bag. I understand vintage Coach bags have their own imperfections, but by pictures 4 and 5 it looks really messy
