Ahh I'm back with another bag. This is so bad :nogood: hopefully this will be my last bag and I won't have to bother you guys anymore. Anyways, can someone help authenticate this

Comments: I've noticed what looks like a target on top of the C in the word Coach on the creed. So I googled it and some people says that means it came from coach factory. What do you guys think?

I'm a little nervous now since the seller gave the wrong year of the bag and now the J serial number. I guess I'll keep on looking. Thanks

Btw, You guys are awesome for taking the time to look at the posting and authenticating it and the fast responses. This is an incredible thread. So glad I found this
That bag is completely authentic. At least 50% of sellers give the wrong year. Just because a seller isn't as informed as we are doesn't mean the bag isn't authentic. There are plenty of authentic bags that have a J date code so you would be limiting your search unnecessarily if you disregarded them. We only suggest that you get them authenticated; you don't need to avoid them.

There's nothing wrong with that bag. And not all J serial numbers are fakes, I just like to warn newer buyers to be even more careful than usual to have them authenticated here first. We know what to look for and how to tell real from fake. Don't start making the mistake of being TOO cautious. BTW, most sellers don't know how to figure out what year a bag was made either, so while some may be deliberately misleading potential buyers, many others are just clueless or have made the mistake of reading the wrong "guides", of which there are too many to count.

Comments: Is this authentic and if so the style name (guessing a bucket) and is it Bottle Green? Is that closure true to the purse?

It was called a Jackson Bucket, style 9912, and was from the 1992-93 Camden Collection. The color is probably Forest Green.

The closure was called a Touchlock and was used on some bags and briefcases from 1991 to 1993. It showed up on a few other briefcases in 1999 and AFAIK hasn't been used since.

From the 1992 Fall catalog:

Not thrilled that fakes used the fastener though.
AFAIK = As Far As I Know

I think you read that as "fake."
