Hi! I got the bag home and measured it. It's 11 inches wide by 9 inches tall by 4.5 inches across the bottom. Thank you in advance for taking a look and letting me know if it's legit!

Hi,
I think I got a fake Coach, I should have known better…please see what you think. It seemed like a possible Lexington series bag but the creed patch language is a joke.
• Thrift find
• 11” length x 9” height x 4.5” width.

I'm pretty sure that we've mentioned more than once in the last 15 years (with some variations and corrections as we collected more information) that Coach has NEVER made handbags, wallets or briefcases in Korea.

25 pages of posts, 20 posts per page since 2015. So 25 pages include links to 500 posts.

plus another 25 pages from 2015 back to 2010. Not all are specifically about Korean fakes but there are enough to form a pretty solid database.

And there are another 10 pages of posts going back to 2006.

Even Google agrees.

Hi everybody! I was wondering if you could let me know if this bag looks authentic or not. I think (?) it is, but I am a newbie so I could use some help. I found it listed on facebook marketplace. If it is real, this will be my first ever vintage coach bag!! Hoping to bring it back to life using what I learned on the Rehab and Rescue Club thread. Thank you!!

Also if anyone knows what this color is called, please let me know!

It'sgenuine, but I don't know the style name.

Sorry, two replies ended up in one post. I hope it doesn't cause confusion if I just leave them like that. If I try to change it I'll just mess it up.

From the measurements I'd say it's a Convertible Clutch from the early to mid-1980s, style number 9635. If you could include photos of the bottom and one of the bottom corners that would be great, the CC has several design details that are almost unique to that style. And can you measure the strap? It looks like it's about 36 inches which also fits the style. Thanks!

Authentic Legacy zip.

ETA: Sorry. I'm late to the party and hadn't read ahead to see that the request was answered.

I think this request was missed.

It's authentic. Why do you think it's fake?
The way the word "COACH" in the heading of the creed appears small and lacks the structure I typically see there. Also, the plant code looks, at least to my eye, like a zero or an O, yet it claims made in the USA, in 1996. I certainly make no claims to be an expert, it all just seemed strange to me. There is just so much to learn when it comes to authenticating these things.

Edit: are you seeing the plant code as a "C"?
