[Lake Effect]

Hi ladies, I'd like to get your thoughts on this bag with nickeI hardware I saw earlier at a local thrift store. I did not buy it!
Size - no measurements but definitely the size of a Court bag, based on the one I have.
The quality of the leather, despite being extremely worn, was very, very good.

Thanks again you guys are a huge help. Here's 2 more for authentication. First is a leather back pack style coach bag creed h7m-9405 measures about 11x12". Second is a large pink coach tote bag creed m0993-14123 measures about 14x8". Both came out of storage unit.

The first one (with 9405 as the style number) is fake.

The bag is fine.

The skinny case doesn't look right to me. The shape looks wrong (too rounded at the lower corners) and the Coach logo looks too high (from the bottom) and slightly too far to the left.

Can you please post a clear picture of the lining showing the weave of the fabric as well as the direction of the striped pattern.

I agree about the chunky case. Too many things that are off.

The close up of the fabric is interesting. It looks a lot different from mine.

Oh, yeah, that's absolute proof it is fake. There should be seams there, like this.

Comments: I purchased it from Mercari. It arrived looking amazing! It is no doubt well-crafted. I “accepted” the order (making my purchase final). I eventually noticed some strange things, like the hardware smelling extremely metallic (not completely surprising because it is pre-owned) and the outer pockets feeling stretched (also could be due to being pre-owned). However, I (naively) just noticed that the creed patch is stamped with a serial number/date code of all zeros (00000-000). There is also a long white tag sewn into an inner pocket. It has numbers. I don’t know what they mean. Finally, the creed patch identifies this as an “accessory,” when every other willow cam bag I’ve seen says it is a “bag.”

I saw a post on here with an all zeros creed number and the long white sewn-in tag, but I’m not sure if those were the actual reasons the bag was deemed inauthentic. Please help if anyone knows whether this is likely inauthentic or real. Thank you very much!!!
