Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread. No PMs please.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:
  • FOR ITEMS LISTED ONLINE:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

hi! i have heard there are fakes with this number base. could people please take a look and give me an opinion? thanks!
i bought this at a church rummage-so no help there! here are several pictures. the serial number is L4K-9946.

Sorry, it's fake. The creed and serial number stampings are both wrong, as is some of the hardware. And the style of the bag doesn't match the style code in the serial number. Style 9946 would look like this:

The only photo of the creed and serial number I can see is the 4th photo down, and the details are completely unreadable, we need to actually see the text and to accurately read the numbers and letters in the serial number and the precise details of the stamping. Unless there's a much clearer photo somewhere else in the listing that you can copy and post, there's no way I can authenticate it, sorry.

You'll have to post a copy of the seller's photo of the creed stamp and serial number, my computer can only see the first 5 photos. If you're the buyer, please don't pay for the bag until I can see those details, there's a detail in the photos that I CAN see that worries me.

Poshmark is a haven for sellers of fakes because they hardly ever remove them or the members that sell them, and their refund process is seriously flawed.

It's fake. L4K prefixes are always fake. The K plant (a Chinese one) wasn't operating in 1994.

@BeenBurned, thank you for posting that photo and confirming my suspicions after I saw the hardware.

DEFINITELY FAKE. I hope the buyer hasn't paid yet.


Do NOT buy from msgermany27 at Poshmark.
