Hi Authenticators,

Please take a look at these two bags.

The first is a brown bag, I think (?) Metro Bucket. It was obtained from Goodwill and measures approx 12x12x3. Am I recalling correctly that the bullseye mark above the creed indicates a retail bag sold through a factory store?

The second is a red Hippy. It was a gift, likely obtained through ebay, measuring about 10 1/2 high x almost 13 at the widest point.

Thanks for sharing your expertise!

About the outlet stamp, it can mean different things and was used at various times both for items transferred from the full-price stores to the outlets, as well as for items specifically MADE for the outlets before Coach introduced the "F" prefix into handbag serial numbers in front of the style number in or around June 2006.

Both real AND FAKE outlet stamps have also been found in fakes. How hard is it to make a stamp like that? A 15-year old in a high school metal shop class could knock one off with no problems, and for professional counterfeiters it would be a piece of cake. And there are other ways that genuine outlet stamps could end up in fakes.

NEVER depend on an outlet stamp for any authentication. It doesn't prove anything. Just a word to the wise.

Comments: This bag looks lovely, but am concerned if any paints, or dyes were used on it.

Genuine,made in 1998.

I'm not sure how you think we can spot paints or dyes from a photo. Take good clear photos of the item when you receive it and ask your questions at the Rehab and Rescue thread in the main Coach forum.

Comments: Not sure if the listing is accurate because the seller got the measurement wrong. It's actually 11"x7"x2.5".

Thank you so much in advance.

Genuine but as you said, NOT a Dinky. Maybe a Convertible Clutch but the photos that show the areas we would need to see aren't visible to me. Make sure the stamped number in the listing matches the one you receive.

Please and thank you for an authentication. Awhile back, I purchased one of these and it was a fake. Is this one OK? Measures 8 x 6 x 1.
