Sorry. Still not enough of the right pictures.

If a company is going to bill itself as professional and knowing brands, they need to know what's necessary to determine authenticity and prove credibility of their company.

Although Vlad's post at the top of each page of the authentication thread gives info as to what we need for most authentications, more information is given in Post #1 on the first page of the thread (copied below).

  • Since mid-2014, Coach stopped putting serial numbers on creeds so in newer bags where the creeds don't have serial numbers, we also need to see pictures of the labels/tags from inside the bag. They are either both in the main open part sewn into the seam of the lining, or one might be buried deep inside the zipper pocket. One shows where made and the other has a serial number.

My computer refuses to open or enlarge photos from Ebay, Poshmark and 95 percent of the other major websites so unless someone includes the seller's photos I can't help. So far the only one still viewable is shopgoodwill.com. And I almost always will NOT risk trying to authenticate without a clear photo of the creed and serial number.

The seller also has me concerned because-
there's no such thing as a Penny Pocket, or even a confirmable vintage style called a Penny, I don't know where she's getting her information but it bothers me.

The Pocket Purse is a different shape and did not have a soft top handle.

SO

IF it's genuine and if the 8-number serial/registration number 01518906 is accurate, it was made in 1988 or more likely 1989 and would be the regular or the Large Plaza Bag, but I can't pin it down to one of the Plaza Bags without actually being able to see the serial number. BUT I can't open the photos to see the construction details and I can't see the creed and serial number to know if it's even genuine.

So I'm stuck, if you can post a photo with a readable creed and serial number, I'll take another look.

Here's the creed. I avoid PM but will be happy to help Hyacinth with pictures that she can't see.

Hi authenticators,
I only recently learned of this forum and so have a bit of a backlog to work through. Starting with this one, which I believe to be a Court, which looks to have been loved nearly to death by previous owner.
It was obtained from Goodwill and measures approx 9wx7h.

Thanks!

Thanks,BB!

Definitely genuine. The Plaza Bags were both introduced in the Fall Preview 1989 catalog. From the proportions of bag to turnlock in the listing it seems a bit more likely to be the standard size #9860.
