Thank you so much. Do you have any idea roughly when this was made? I think it is one of the earlier creeds. Thanks!

Because your bag has a random serial number, it was made prior to 1994. I believe it's late 80s-early 90s, but @whateve and @Hyacinth are both way better at dating vintage bags than I am.

The 4+3 all-numeric serial or registration numbers were only used from 1990 through 1993, and the Scooter Bag style 9893 was introduced in mid-1991. So that particular bag would have been made between mid-1991 and the beginning of 1994. Since bags made before 1994 didn't have date codes, we can only give a range rather than an exact year.

Hello again. I am looking for this bag to be authenticated and also identified. I think it’s possibly a Slim Satchel Compact? Bought cheap from a vintage shop in UK.
Also if it’s genuine I’d like to try and rehab it but never done this before, do you think it would be possible to improve it through the rehab process?
Many thanks as ever for your expertise.

Measures approx 13” by 7”

It's authentic. Yes, it would benefit from rehabbing. Do you know about our rehab club? https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/coach-rehab-and-rescue-club.833400/

ETA: you're right about the name.

Thanks so much for this. I have read quite a bit about rehabbing. I will maybe post in the rehab club for advice. It seems very daunting to a first timer but I'd like to give it a go especially as this was cheap - i wont be too mad if I mess it up. I don't think it's a particularly rare or sought after bag so it's ok if it goes wrong I guess??!!
Any idea when this would be from? 70s? or 80s?
