Hi everyone! I'm new here and have just started collecting vintage Coach bags. I came across one on Poshmark recently and while I've seen a lot of Coach bags, I've never seen this one. It looks real to me and it looks to be from the 70s. I really love the shape and will buy it immediately but wanted to ask for help authenticating it first. The listing info is below and I've attached photos. Any help would be so appreciated!

Bags from the 1970s are unlikely to have serial numbers, and the "Made in..." line in a 1970s bag's creed stamp would always say "..New York City". Coach didn't change that line until around 1988. And it's not from the Soho line since "Soho" wasn't an official line name until around 1993 when it replaced "Lightweights".

There's an infamous "guide" that's been floating around the 'net for years that has several serious mistakes regarding Coach dates, often the manufacturing dates they list are as much as 10 years off. Be careful where you get your information, much of what's found on the internet is just plain wrong. And far too many sellers don't have a clue about what they're selling, like this one.

The bag is a Carlyle Bag, style 9854 from the very early 1990s, here's the Holiday 1990 catalog. Note the "New" in the description:

I have a piece of unsolicited advice (or rather OPINION) for a TPF newbie regarding Poshmark and their sellers.
Although @Hyacinth authenticated the bag you asked about, you need to be aware of jacamu60 because like many other sellers on Poshmark, the seller is a mixer.
