What Goodwill is not realizing is that by blindly assuming that Entrupy doesn't err and not accepting and admitting to the potential errors in their COAs, they aren't working with Entrupy and allowing Entrupy to adjust their algorithms so the mistakes don't happen as frequently.

The way AI (artificial intelligence) works (in my simple words) is that a bunch of data is entered into their system. As they receive notifications of errors, they tweak and fine-tune their information, each time adjusting the newly-learned error with the corrected data, thereby reducing the occurrence of similar errors.

AI isn't a one and done. It's an ongoing process requiring constant and consistent updating.

However, by either ignoring or denying the errors, Goodwill is hurting themselves, their reputation, AND that of Entrupy. And because Goodwill and not Goodwill's buyers are clients of Entrupy, those of us who may have been screwed by Goodwill/Entrupy cannot go to Entrupy to point out the tweaking and adjustments that are needed.

Thank you, Google for this simple explanation of how Artificial Intelligence is supposed to work:
"What is self correction in AI?

Self-Correction Processes: This aspect of AI programming is designed to continually fine-tune algorithms and ensure they provide the most accurate results possible.Aug 3, 2021"

Hey Goodwill! Are you reading?

Many of Entrupy's mistakes with Coach items hasn't just been due to faulty algorithms but to lack of ANY effective HUMAN input. Over and over again I've seen bags with invalid and known FAKE full or partial serial numbers that have been analyzed and exposed in places like these forums and that a simple HUMAN-RUN search on the internet would have been revealed to be questionable.

For example, the fake that started this discussion, with a serial number "D6J-9063". Searching Google for "COACH serial D6J" brings up several pages of posts especially from tPF, and the "More results from forum.purseblog.com" link brings up even more.

That's the kind of thing for which their "algorithms" are completely useless. If Entrupy doesn't value the importance of Coach serial numbers they have NO business claiming to be able to authenticate Coaches. They are the LAST place I would depend on to authenticate Coach products

Is it SO hard for Entrupy to hire one human being with more than 2 functioning brain cells?

Hi authenticators, please help to authenticate this bag. Thank you
Item: Coach Scooter Bag
Where purchased or how obtained: thrift shop
Comments: The leather is very thick and hard. The underside leather is still smooth, maybe not much use.

As posters may have already noticed, I'm NOT recommending buying ANY item from ShopGoodwill.com where Entrupy has "authenticated" the item. ShopGoodwill.com now has a history of refusing to refund after selling confirmed fakes and dodging their legal responsibility by throwing the responsibility back to Entrupy. Entrupy's contract is with Goodwill, NOT the retail buyer and Entrupy as stated in their contracts refuses to get directly involved with the buyer. It is Goodwill's responsibility to refund money paid for fakes and they have refused to do so.

See posts 77676 thru posts 77711 for the history if you haven't already read it:

The cheated buyer did finally receive a refund from GW who claimed the refund was because of damaged packaging. They STILL refused to accept responsibility for selling a counterfeit (a felony in the US).

Both bags appear genuine but the Entrupy COA with the first one is meaningless.
I do understand the authentications on SGW.com are pretty worthless, which is why I asked here. Thank you, Hyacinth, I appreciate your expertise and effort. Sorry to send you to that site but the call of the red Wendie is strong...

Hello everyone,
Would really appreciate if you could let me know whether this bag is authentic or fake. I bought it from a local seller who sells used bags.
Thank you.
