Item: Vintage Coach 9063
Seller: ShopGoodwill dot com (Goodwill Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Comments:
Hello I’m new to this forum. I was referred here by someone in a FB group regarding a 9063 bag I purchased from ShopGoodwill. This was the first time I’ve ever shopped there and I didn’t question authenticity because it came with a “COA”.

So I’ve been told it’s fake and it certainly feels fake. The creed reads that it was made in 1996 but this bag first came out in 1999. I just didn’t pay attention to it on the shopgoodwill site since it had a COA.

I’ve asked for a refund from Shopgoodwill but they told me to contact Entrupy.

Entrupy won’t do anything because I’m not their customer.

How do I prove this isn’t real?

I paid over $100 for this bag and have spent the last week trying to get a refund.

The seller is Goodwill Southwestern Pennsylvania. I have also contacted the main customer support of goodwill. They then replied and told me they would contact the store manager.

That was Friday.

I guess if I’m stuck with this bag, the very least I can do is warn others. This is my first and last purchase on shopgoodwill - I definitely got burned!

I'm curious to know the name of the Facebook group you are part of because there are a few that we've been made aware of and our understanding is that they hate TPF and will ban their group members if they are on TPF!! (In fact, there are members here who've been banned from the group after their participation here was discovered.)

If they're referring their members here for authentications, that's the height of hypocrisy!

As for Goodwill and their relationship with Entrupy, Goodwill has a false sense of security about Entrupy and their clients are getting screwed! My conservative estimation of Entrupy's accuracy is about 1/3 of the time getting it wrong! (I really believe it's closer to 50% but I'm trying to be more conservative.)

A search of TPF shows MANY threads complaining of errors:

I know for a fact that fake Coach bags have been returned to Goodwill (and others who've used Entrupy) but either Goodwill doesn't believe the buyers and authenticators or if they've notified Entrupy, Entrupy doesn't correct and adjust its algorithms to avoid further mistakes.

Either way, I'm about a whisper away from refusing to authenticate or recommend Goodwill (as I've done with Poshmark) because of their denials.

YOUR BAG IS FAKE, ENTRUPY IS WRONG AND GOODWILL AND ENTRUPY NEED TO STEP UP AND ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR ERRORS. (@splurgeworthy - feel free to refer Goodwill here for enlightenment! Since they're responding to you, perhaps they're willing to have their eyes opened.)

If they won't do the right thing, you should open a dispute with your payment source.

ETA: If this bag from GOODWILL PENNSYLVANIA was an online listing, please post a link to the listing.

I’m not sure. It was just a member from one of the purse groups I belong to. They messaged me so it wasn’t in the group. I only know they are from a group because I’m not friends with them.
