https://www.mercari.com/us/item/m31130817841/ Authentic? I've never seen this bag shape before, it's not a canteen bag and it's not a "taco" bag, it's kind of in between. It's got the XXXX-XXX creed format. 7.5 in long - 6 in high - 2 in wide. I've read here that this seller is questionable. ETA: My own research says this is a "minetta zip" style 4123.

Dear Authenticators,
There is a BT Taft bag on Ebay that looks to be questionable - the serial number ends in 9950. Would you take a look.

Seller ID: lalydiabe
Listing site: Ebay
Listing number: 165711284084
Listing Title: Vintage Coach Satchel / Saddle Bag - Tan
Listing URL: https://www.ebay.com/itm/165711284084

Thank you so much.

Thank you for posting the photos!

It's fake. While genuine Coaches can (rarely) have incorrect style numbers, this one actually has a fake font NEVER used by the C plant. The date code is also for a full year before the Taft was even introduced.

Here's a correct J4C- font:

Mercari listings won't open for me at all, it's just a blank page. But something about that serial number seems off, it looks like the last 3 numbers are quite a bit larger than the first 4 and I don't remember seeing that before in early 1990s bags.

Here's a second photo of the creed as well, he's got it twisted at a funny angle. Does this look like a Minetta Zip, lightweight. from 1993? Style 4123.

That's what it looks like to me too. Here's the catalog photo. The bag is probably genuine but the serial number still looks strange. Maybe it's the twisting.
