Thank you and be safe!

Two authentications in a row--this one, simple curiosity. I will add the creed photos sent to me by the seller:

My concern is that I know the style number is from @2000 and I don’t recall a multi color version.

The serial font is TOTALLY wrong for the D plant. We don't even need to open the link.

ETA - Which is probably just as well since it's already Poofed.

In 2015, @Vlad promised a form which, unless properly filled in, requests couldn't go through. Although it would have been nice to have, in November, 2017, he said that the programming coders went out of business and they were "waiting for someone else to take over and finish the product."

It's been 5 years and I find it hard to believe that there isn't a programmer around who can do this! Perhaps those of us who volunteer our time aren't making enough noise! (And I doubt that Coach is the only forum that is getting incomplete requests.

@Vlad, any chance this'll ever happen in my lifetime? I'm not trying to be difficult but ........

And can we please add a requirement for a readable copy of the creed and serial number photo, either from the seller's online listing OR the buyer's photo if no online listing is available, be posted here with all authentication requests? Please Please Please?

Thanks!

Thank you, @Hyacinth. The larger version of this bag, the 9166, was my first Coach. I remembered all of the solid colors but thought that this one was fake. I always appreciate your help.

The Mercari link isn't working at all for me. Maybe one of the other authenticators can try.

The Goodwill link doesn't include READABLE photos of the bag's creed and serial number. We need to see and read the stamps, including the small stamping details. If you an get better photos of those details we can take another look. "Certificates Of Authenticity", especially from Entrupy, are useless, we have seen far too many mistakes from those services. And if they only have access to the same photos that are in the listing, there's NO WAY they can accurately authenticate that item. NEVER base a buying decision on one. There are several threads here about serious mistakes by Entrupy, here's just one of them with 10 PAGES of posts:

Comments: Serial J8N-9790 (Outlet stamp?)
Made in Mexico. It looks like someone poked an extra hole in the strap (pic 6).

Thank you in advance!

Your memory about the production date for the style was correct too, it wasn't even introduced until 2000. The date code in the fake is 5 YEARS too early. Good catch!

Hi all, new here and been collecting vintage Coach for quite awhile but came across a tote that I took a chance on. Its thick leather and feels pretty right based on my past experience but the 'ye olde internets' hasn't helped me authenticate this large tote, especially as the creed is super shallow and faint. I think it reads: No. 1003-312, but not sure. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the photos. My old computer doesn't handle certain websites and Mercari is one of them.

BeenBurned confirmed the Mercari bag was genuine in an earlier post here:

but it's always good to see additional confirmation.

1- genuine Soho Bag style number 4082 from the Lightweight line and made between 1991 and 1994. It's too large for a Lafayette Bag.

2- Genuine Watson Bag from 1995

Here's a Soho Bag 4082 from a 1992 catalog:
