You're correct. The bag is fake. TN and NT prefixes are only on fake items.

You can try warning the Goodwill site but don't hold your breath while waiting for them to end the listing and dispose of the item.
In fact, shopgoodwill on its own site as well as various ebay locations regularly sell fakes, many with inaccurate "COAs" included. Goodwill puts too much faith in the infallibility of the services they use and deny that items are fake.

I'll try to be optimistic that they respond appropriately this time.
Hi BeenBurned. Just circling back to tell you that Goodwill removed the fake bag from auction and sent me a thank-you message. Your optimism was warranted, at least this time.

Sometimes it is just the angle of the photo or how the purse is leaning that makes it look different. The bag you asked about is authentic.

In my opinion, it doesn't look like it was never used. Doesn't it look like a lot of the color has worn off? I think it was probably originally bone.
Thank you @whateve, everything about this bag looked off - even though I do know (having it learnt here) that sometimes leather takes dye differently I still got goofed by the crass unevenness of the color. I look at the bags you all authenticate and I'm trying to see what you see, but simply lack your depth of knowledge and, what I suspect, are years and hands-on experiences with these bags. I believe this has happened once before that I was thrown off by the silhouette of a bag and it was pointed out by Hyacinth that bags can look distorted sometimes. But sometimes I just do not see things they way you all do. And no, I never did believe the claims the seller stated for the bag.
I didn't say that there were 2 different styles of Metropolis with the same style number. There was a Metropolis ZIP 9087 and a Metropolis FLAP 9022.

Coach sometimes made small changes to a bag that didn't affect the basic details, like they did with the under-flap pocket on the Court Bag or the many changes in strap lengths. I don't see'any problems.

Thank you @Hyacinth for clarifying my number confusion, I did not know that there was a Metropolis flap. Since they all look the same, I can assume that my beige and black bags are also authentic. Also want thank you for your expertise - you do really provide an invaluable service to folks who are just looking for a nice purse. There are not many free services around anymore, so they are doubly appreciated when they are found.

Hello. Do you guys know what this bag is called? There is no other description on the listing. Just “coach leather brown purse”

Hi, I'm not any kind of authenticator, but google lens says this might be a 9390 "School Bag."
You forgot seller ID: ruskol-82

The bag can't be named because it can't (yet) be authenticated without a picture of the full creed and serial number.
