Please follow the following requests:

• Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
• Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.

• Front of item
• Back of item
• Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
• Made in tags (when available)
• Measurements
• For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
• For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
• If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

Is there actually a matching leather phone pocket sewn onto one side of the bag?

If there is, that's a HUGE red flag. Please post a clear photo of the creed and serial number showing the number you're worried about.

If there IS a sewn-on phone holder, the six Salearea Coach Guides warn that where that kind of phone holder is sewn onto a vintage bag, it's a strong indication of a counterfeit bag. The style doesn't ring a bell either.

There appeared to be an attached phone pocket in the photos posted by the seller. That and the number (4C-9911) made me suspicious of authenticity. The auction has now ended so the winner may have bought a fake.

LOL! I'm not too concerned. This isn't a case of an item that's questionable or that authenticity can't be confirmed. The bag is without-a-doubt fake and if she wants to be an honest seller of authentic items, she needs to be open to admitting mistakes and learning from them.

I also reported it to Ebay, I hope they warn the buyer in time. It's always a good idea to check fake-looking serial numbers against the Daria 48 Fake Numbers list. If the list says "always fake" it's FAKE, period.

No, I was not the buyer - it was just a bag I stumbled across during a search. Hopefully eBay will pull it before the seller sends it out. Thanks for taking a look at it!

Hi there,

Can anyone please tell me whether this logo is authentic? I haven't seen it before. Unfortunately the seller hasn't listed any further details about the bag or more photos. I've asked for lots more pictures but not sure whether to bother following up if you can tell that the logo isn't authentic.

Coach made a similar design and pattern but that doesn't prove this particular one is authentic. Please post copies of the seller's photos following the list of required photos we've posted under "READ ME" at the top of each page here when you receive them. The photos you already posted are not enough to authenticate the bag.

I'm not comfortable authenticating that wallet. The pictures in the listing don't enlarge enough for me to see detail and your uploaded pictures are too grainy when I enlarge them.

If you can ask the seller to add or send a couple of additional pictures, they may help. I'd like to see the lining on the inside of the gusseted sides and if she can feel around and open the pockets (probably the longest undivided pockets) to find a small white tag with 2 rows of letters/numbers. (I believe the wallet should have it.)

Hi BeenBurned. I have asked the seller to look for the white tag. She said there isn't one. She bought it in 2011. She gave me these instead. I dont know if these are of help.

The wallet is fine. (It's older than the "white label" timeframe.)
