I don't believe that hangtag is from an authentic item.

I've compared to two different items from my own items/records and the shape and alignment of the lettering appear wrong. And your hangtag has a flatter surface whereas mine are more rounded.

OTHER OPINIONS ARE WELCOME.

Compare: Yours is on the left in both comps:

ETA: I see that @Hyacinth has commented.

I'll add a few red flags. The opening for the chain seems too big, and the "a" sits lower than the other letters which means that whatever letter stamps they were using couldn't be accurately lined up to fit the space. The "a"had to be dropped down by a millimeter for all the letters to fit in the row.I don't think I've ever seen that on a genuine Coach hangtag.

Since we're discussing differences, the shape of (especially) the first C but both Cs and the O are incorrect. The letters aren't as rounded as they should be, both on the left sides and the inner curve of the C.

I have no doubt that the hangtag is fake.

Thrift store find! I walked past it and somehow came back and found it. Yay! Measures: about 12 inches long by 9 inches high (lowest point on zipper), and 4 inches across the bottom. It's in great condition, except the creed is very faint. I can't tell if the second character is a zero or an eight. Looks like H0D - 9058. If a zero, does that mean 1990? Or 2000? Thanks!

No, I've never seen that combination before.

ETA - Also on the genuine original Rainy Day keychain made for the full-price stores, the umbrella with the Sig Cs had very small crystals set into the handle. The solid color umbrella had a plain handle. That style also had a solid non-enameled nickel-color hangtag. But as BB said, it's a combination of charms from 3 or 4 different keychains, all in different colors than the originals.

If it's a fake, it's an incredibly good one. Even the positioning of the stamps on the back are correct, and the Cs are the right shape and in the correct positions on the charms, which almost never happens with fakes. There's just no way to really authenticate it 100 percent and I'm comparing it to my actual known-to-be-genuine Rainy Day and BCA keychains. The chain links even are the right sizes for their positions on the piece.

I'm wondering if it's an outlet remake and/or made for the non-US market? Coach usually saved a few pennies on outlet items by eliminating crystals whenever possible. Very likely genuine but no way to confirm it.
Hmmm. Side by sides seem to tell a different story, especially the hat and the purse.

It's authentic made in 2000.

Hello Ladies, I hope you are all well! I have 2 more vintage bags for your review. The first one is a black daypack…I think. I thrifted this one some time back, my daughter loved it but is now carrying something bigger, I’m thinking of listing it for sale, just want a nod on authenticity before I do…

Creed: M6? Or 8? M - 9960
Origin: Made in the United States
Measurements: 9 tall, 7 1/2 wide, 4 1/2 deep

I believe this is the Mini Daypack? Would love confirmation on year and correct style name.

As always,
Thank You!

Had some difficulty adding photos, they are a little out of order…

I doubt if they would have been made at exactly the same time. If they had and this one is actually fake, why haven't we seen it before? We've seen dozens of fakes of almost every style from the mid-2000s, where has this one been hiding?

Coach could have easily copied their original style but I would expect small differences between the original and a copy from a few years later. The basic details that the fakers almost always got wrong are correct on this one. And what would be the point of making a fake of charms from different keychains? Why not just make fakes of the real ones, especially the best-selling fakes like the BCA one?

I'm still 90 percent sure it's real, but JMO.
