The bag looks good, the hangtag is fake. The name of the style is belted pouch.

I've asked this question before and nobody may know the answer, but I am thinking of using the hangtag shown at the link below on a bag that I am rehabbing - but I don't want to do that if it is a fake hangtag.

I had previously bought the genuine bag pictured below but it came with this metal replacement hangtag. When I rehabbed that bag I attached a genuine brown leather hangtag instead. I am currently working on 65th legacy anniversary bag that is missing the hangtag. The bag originally had a matching leather hangtag (along with a round brass charm) but I don't have a tag like that. The bag has antique brass hardware so I am thinking of using this hangtag instead. I know that it's not a perfect solution but right now it seems to be my best option; a shiny smooth new gold hangtag doesn't look right, What are your opinions about the authenticity of this hangtag? Thanks!

I don't recall having seen it before but I have seen leather tags and may have seen silver hangtags with the same logo. The mottled color is unusual. It is a fairly new logo, probably since around 2014. I think it is probably authentic.

Personally, I'd never use a fake hangtag when selling a bag since (IMO) it seems like it'd call my own integrity into question about how I acquired that tag and if and when I'd sold the fake that it came with. But that's just me.

In this case, I think the hangtag looks fine and if you list, I'd recommend doing as I sometimes do when including a hangtag that didn't originally come with the item. I say something to the effect of, "the original hang tag was lost/missing so it's been replaced with another genuine Coach hangtag."

Thank you, both! It seems well made and authentic but I had never seen one like it before.

Says rust but not sure if this is correct? Looks more like a tan colour.
It's authentic. It could be sand, which was a 1995 color.
