  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

    Link:
    Comments:

  • FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Where purchased or how obtained
    Comments:
BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item

  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

Welcome to TPF.

Just so you know, the forum rules don't allow linking to your own listing. Additionally, sellers are supposed to know items are authentic before listing. On the Coach subforum, usually the authenticators don't mind helping honest sellers verify authenticity but in the future, please post just the pictures (no links to selling sites) before listing.

The wristlet looks okay.

ETA: Here's exactly the reason why you need to authenticate items BEFORE listing.

This bag you sold was/is fake. While it was determined that some bags with "bean bag" creeds are authentic, yours is not:

oops, sorry for not following the rules on this forum. I do appreciate your help with the wristlet. The Brown bag you referred to was my only mistake as a seller, so far. I am offering the buyer a full refund. The return is in process right now. I am an honest seller on EBay and want to maintain my great reputation. That is why I asked about the yellow bag, so that this doesn't happen again.
I will be staying away from ALL Coach bags in the future so that this doesn't happen to me or my customers again.
again, sorry to foul up the procedures you have in place.
Thanks for your help

Selling Coaches you've bought on the secondary market normally wouldn't be a problem as long as you have them authenticated here. The BIG problem is that there's so much misinformation and just plain lies and BS on the internet about what makes a genuine Coach. We've seen so many disgustingly CWAP "authenticity guides" that make all kinds of ridiculous claims about the "rules" real Coaches are supposed to follow (almost NONE of which are even partly correct!), and gullible buyers read and actually believe that BS and make life hell for their sellers with false claims that their absolutely genuine Coach items are fake because of some baloney thay're read somewhere online. Being a Coach seller right now is NOT for the faint-hearted, especially since Ebay almost always tends to side with the sellers no matter how ridiculous their claims are. This thread alone is loaded with posts from honest sellers who have been accused of selling fakes by uneducated, ignorant, or just plain stupid buyers, not to mention the greedy SOBs who are just trying to weasel out of the deal or to squeeze a refund from the seller.

For what I think of almost all of those BS "guides" read my siggie under all my posts, and read the Salearea Coach Guide on Authenticity Myths that I researched for seller "Salearea" to try and expose some of the BS for what it really is:

I have it in my files as "unknown." The one in my files has the buckle on the other side unless the photo was reversed.

THANKS WHATEVE! I couldn't find the style anywhere.. so I'm thinking maybe it is from the 1970s? Mine was such a pondscum bag~ the seller listed it as DARKBROWN! But, YAY!
Under all the crud it is BURGUNDY!!
Thanks AGAIN!! S. : )

Please authenticate. I have looked at this bag at least once a day for the last week. Won the auction, and when I was getting ready to have it authenticated noticed the word "leathers" seems to be misspelled. Unless it is the angle of the photo. :confused1:

It looks ok to me.

Hello everyone, I received this purse as a gift years back; I've never necessarily liked Coach bags nor have I ever bothered with them, so I'm completely ignorant about anything and everything having to do with them. I've never used the bag, and after having it hanging in my closet for years; I decided I would like to sell it to someone who would actually find use of it; but I wanted to make sure that it was authentic first. If it is authentic would anyone mind telling me a decent price to sell it for, I don't want to make the price too large or too low. Thank you in advance.
