There's something about this sellers listings that dont sit right with me. They don't have detailed inside pics, but from what I can see I strongly suspect something fishy especially since I can compare subtle differences to my own authentic periwinkle swagger. The long handling time and the fact that they're all nwot seems odd too. I didn't look at the Rhyders, but the Gramercys had me wondering as well.

Mine vs. theirs to compare. Pardon the horrible washed out lighting for mine.

Although we warn against basing an authentication on a hangtag, I am going to comment on it. The blue hangtag on her bag shows some obvious differences in the impressed border, something you wouldn't see on an authentic item.

She doesn't show the straps, conveniently covered so there's no way to know what they look like, but I'm betting they don't have some of the stitching details shown on yours.

I'm not comfortable with this listing or any other listing from the erick.gabri. He has too many "NWOT" bags with blurry pictures and questionable red flags.

I don't recommend erick gabri.

What do you think of this croc embossed Gramercy and various colors. Seller on ebay says that are 100% authentic

Someone already asked about one of erick.gabri 's listings and I'm not at all comfortable with the bags or the seller. I don't recommend buying from erick.gabri ( erickgabri / erick gabri )

Among red flags seen in the pictures shown, it's also a red flag that the seller has so many NWOT bags supposedly bought from Coach.

I know this is not something you can really dig your teeth into, but the material ("leather") smooth area along the top zipper, etc. looks like cheap vinyl. I've gotten really good at sensing the texture of something and you can almost feel the difference between yours and theirs....referring to the photos you posted afterwards.
Also, as pointed out, the hang tags are totally different, the outlining is uneven and just plain wrong.
I think we should take a shot and try to get those listings removed, someone is going to lose a lot of money at $299 a pop!

I was thinking the same thing about the leather around the zipper when I compared it with my own. Not something I can "prove" online, but it definitely looks different when you see the real thing.

A bit more information and the correct names for the two bags - just like antique furniture, "vintage" handbags have a specific timeframe they should fall into to be called vintage, which for handbags is 20 years or older. Your Legacy West Small Backpack was made in 2002 so it's not technically vintage yet, but it's a really nice backpack, vintage or not.

The second one is actually called a Soft Legacy Small Backpack, and since it's from 2004 also isn't technically "vintage". But both are nice finds.

Welcome to tPF! :smile1:

Hi everybody! Need some authentication help. Just picked this up. Thanks a bunch!

Hi, new here and trying to authenticate a small yellow bag I picked up at local Goodwill
seller: dardar4j
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Yello...rse-bag-/161740309520?ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT
no creed inside bag, just coach hangtag
thanks so much
Welcome to TPF.

Just so you know, the forum rules don't allow linking to your own listing. Additionally, sellers are supposed to know items are authentic before listing. On the Coach subforum, usually the authenticators don't mind helping honest sellers verify authenticity but in the future, please post just the pictures (no links to selling sites) before listing.

The wristlet looks okay.

ETA: Here's exactly the reason why you need to authenticate items BEFORE listing.

This bag you sold was/is fake. While it was determined that some bags with "bean bag" creeds are authentic, yours is not:
