Please follow the following requests:

• Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.

• Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
• Made in tags (when available)
• Measurements
• For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
• For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
• If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

My computer and Poshmark have decided to not "play nice" with each other for some reason, probably advanced age, (my computer, not Posh), and I can't access the photo(s) of the creed and serial number. If you can copy and post a readable pic of those, I'll be happy to take another look.

And I think you asked about another bag from the same seller? I wasn't able to see those photo details either, if so please copy them too if you can. Thank you.

Oh no problem, I believe @whateve confirmed that the other bag is authentic, but I have another one from the same seller (ginaboyle on Poshmark ). I took some screenshots from Poshmark since I could not download the pictures, hopefully they are still as detailed as the original.

I really appreciate you taking a look, this one bag I have been after for a while and decided to take the plunge without confirming here first let’s see if it wasn’t a mistake.

Comments: Totally thought it was real. Brought it home and the poor dye penetration on the interior seams threw me off. In that last photo the white "tag" is the Inspected By "#" paper, I forgot to remove it. Also, the original Registration paper and the 1992 mini insert catalog were in the bag.

Authentic city bag made in 1992. They used to shave the interior leather at the seam allowance to make it easier to sew. It's normal to see white on the interior seams.

Wow, what a great find! It's not a station bag, it's an authentic slim pouch #9640, made in the late 70s.

Genuine. Please remember to include measurements especially when it's a bag made before the style number became part of the serial number.

If it measures about 8x6x3 inches it's a Chauncey Bag style 9897 from around 1992-93.

Thank you so much @Hyacinth I was worried because when it comes to bags pre-style # I’m a bit clueless. I do check the basics like stitching, hardware, spelling and if the leather looks real but when it comes to the creed # I don’t know what to check I saw on this thread that the font/style of the numbers sometimes gives clues to whether it’s authentic or not. Thank you so much for verifying and taking the time to take a look
