They're all authentic.

As for the last one, I don't know whether the trim is patent leather or coated vinyl but I've found that the material (whatever it is) gets sticky over time and does feel cheap. But it is a Coach bag so get out the ketchup for your Sunday hat!
Wow, thank you so much! I guess it’s fortunate for me I don’t actually have a Sunday hat, but looks like I’ll be eating my own words instead. I was so sure it was fake that, before finding this forum, I messaged thredup to complain! Guess I owe someone an apology

Hello Authenticators again :)
I've just came back from the thrift "bundle" store with these 2 cuties! Are they authentic?
Item 1: Coach Soho Mini Hobo
Where purchased or how obtained : Thrift "Bundle" Store
Comments: Serial E8C-4145 Made in The United States

Item 2: Coach Small Bag
Where purchased or how obtained : Thrift "Bundle" Store
Comments: This bag has no serial number, only a small white tag " Made in Dominican Republic". There is one inner pocket. It comes with a coach hangtag. The word "COACH" is stamped on the bottom of the bag.
The base measures 6x3.5 inches. The height is 4.5. If it is measured from the base to the zip, it it 6 inches.

The short section of the strap is still too long and the buckle is too close to the top of the strap as it's hanging. That shorter strap section shouldn't be more that 12 to 15 inches long on most genuine Coaches including Willises but this one looks like it's at least 20 inches long using the official 10-inch height of the bag as a comparison. And several photos seem to show that the center seam on the base is actually OFF-center.

Look at the second photo, the one showing the back of the bag. The incorrect position of the strap buckle at almost top dead center of the hanging bag is obvious and would make it VERY uncomfortable to carry (anyone with long hair would risk getting their hair entangled in the strap buckle!), and when you enlarge the photo the off-center seam on the base shows up clearly. The next photo of the inside of the bag confirms it. That same pic of the inside of the bag shows massive continuous wrinkling and NOT-COACH construction all along the inside edging of the flap - it looks like HELL, frankly. Compare that photo to the binding on the underside of the flap on a genuine Coach. The shape of the top handle also looks too wide at the ends.

And last but not least, the serial number font is wrong for any bag made at the "C" plant.

Click on the thumbnails to enlarge.

This is what the underside of the flap SHOULD look like:

Do NOT buy from seller " Monica Husnik " on Facebook Marketplace!
Thank you for the detailed response. It's really quite fascinating how the "little" details stand out to an expert.

Got this bag at my local thrift store. Decided to get it so I could try different “rehab” products to see how they are different. The leather was quite soft but I really don’t know if it’s authentic. What do y’all think?

Both look fine.

1415 has been seen on fakes but your bag is authentic, made in 2005.

Thanks. Now I decide how much to torture it. There is guilt to be sure. The leather is very soft compared to my older "thicker leather" bags. I wonder how different they will respond. To the rehab gurus I go.

The newer China-made bags have differences in the leathers and may have some level of plastic coating compared to the vintage full-grain leathers on classic Coaches. Coach calls that one a Legacy Leather Soft Slim Duffle and it's from 2004 so it might need slightly different treatment than one of the pre-2000 bags. When asking for rehab information at the Rehab And Rescue Club, always be sure to mention the style number and, whenever possible, include a photo of the creed and serial number so the experts can tailor their advice according to the leather used for that style and time period.

Speaking of leathers, here come my recommendations for helpful reading material, Bookmarking and saving as text files is recommended since nothing on the internet is ever really permanent:

The six Salearea Coach Guides - lots of history, how to recognise potential fakes, how to decode a serial number in bags made since 1994, and masses of other stuff. Several readings are recommended, "It's complicated". The first 13 posts are mostly background and very few of the links in them still work, but keep reading, it will be worth it. The link is Pinned to the top of every page in this Authenticate thread:

The Daria48 Fake Coach Numbers List, started at Ebay 15 years ago. Some of the most common fake and sometimes-fake serial numbers, mostly geared toward vintage bags. It follows closely after the Salearea Guides in the same thread:

For the "bible" of information on current and classic Coach leathers and why they sometimes seem so different (because they ARE!), this is a long and eye-opening read but well worth it - The Coach Screed by Cyberia Vintage:

And as a bonus, a great source of vintage Coach catalog scans in the main Coach forum, Reference Library sub-forum, covering roughly 1980 to 2000 and a great tool for vintage lovers, also right here at tPF:

The first three differ from the vast majority of mostly outdated or undependable so-called "authenticity guides" still spewing bad information across the internet. All three were meticulously researched. I can speak for the first two and promise that the research was done from scratch based on information the author collected herself from catalogs and known genuine items and from dependable sources for Coach history and information. Most online Coach "guides" are basically "copy & paste" versions of earlier ones going back as far as the early 2000 decade with the same out of date, foolish, inaccurate and even dangerous misinformation repeated over and over again. These 3 are as dependable as the authors could make them, and the two posted here at tPF also have any corrections and updates to the information posted in the same thread right behind them. Sadly, the original author of the Coach Screed is no longer with us, but I only managed to find one mistake so far, about fakes never being made of the same quality of full-grain leather as genuine classic Coaches - on very rare occasions, they can be, because I own one. Other than that, the information included is thorough and thought-provoking.

Happy reading!

Hi Authenticators,
I bought this bag bc I wanted a little grey crossbody but it came today and it's huge. The leather feels ok but I've never seen a hidden zip or strap like this. I hope this isn't a total loss. I appreciate any help. Thank you!

Thank you for the guidance. I have gone through some of the materials you listed above. I've been trying to collate and save all the bits of information so my brain can access them easily (Both for authentication and rehabbing.) I have the memory of a gnat however and keep forgetting where I left off. Any theories on why Coach doesn't put out information regarding authentic products. Particularly their early designs. My only thought is that they fear better counterfeits. They have an internal archive and an in-house archivist and I would expect them to have copies of all their ads and pamphlets. There are also a couple of books, but I haven't been able to access any of them. I suspect somebody on this forum has a copy. The Coach Creed article is brilliant! There are a few references to a drill-down list that was accessible in the past. It doesn't seem to exist anymore? I know ebay decided to delete a lot of information, did that get deleted as well?
