Yes, and there was a blogger who bragged in her blog about using olive oil too. I don't remember if they were the same person but I seem to remember that the blogger may have also been a tPF member. I remember a lot of mistakes in her blog, and not just about the olive oil. And because a family member kept recommending her blog, a lot of the mistakes were passed along.

There's nothing like the smell of rancid olive oil to put you off your feed.

How about this one?

Now I'm questioning the shine factor on this one I asked about last night... The fact that the serial starts with C0N doesn't feel great, either
The bag shown is authentic, made in 2000.

It doesn't appear (to me) to have the shine of a polished bag but wait for @whateve to comment on the white spots.

That's the one! Too bad the photos didn't survive.

I wonder what ever happened to that bag? I would have given one or even two dunks in a Dawn bath. If anything can get oil out, it's Dawn.

My bad. Got the name after googling it. So it is Hamptons. Thank you Hyacinth

There's a lot of confusion because some bags from the outlets from around that time just used the abbreviation "HAM" for a Made For Factory line of bags on the price tags and no one ever found out if that stood for Hamptons or Hamilton and even the store receipts didn't give the full names. But this one is definitely a Hamptons. I don't have a website pic of that exact style but here's one of the style right before it, 7750, there were a string of Hamptons in that number sequence:

This is a tag from a bag I had a while back and the HML abbreviation didn't seem to indicate "Hamptons" unless it stood for "Hamptons leather."

ETA: The style of the bag doesn't look like it has details I usually associate with Hamptons items though I can't really state what those details would be!

Sorry, I was off about the "L". Coach never actually spelled out the full name though. For all we know it could have stood for "hypertext markup language" if "hypertext" was a single word. :graucho:

It's a genuine Duffle Sac from 1995
Thank you! Just out of curiousity, how come some of the duffle sacs that are xl give measurements that are 15" and others 13"? Mine is 15" but I just wanted to ask about that? I was looking through the vintage catalogs and noticed this.

I've mentioned before that we really don't have any idea exactly how Coach measured their bags. Square or rectangular bags are easy to figure out but as soon as you start using curves instead of straight horizontal and vertical lines, things get more complicated. I've never seen any descriptions of their measuring process in any vintage catalogs, and only one actual mention of how bags were measured on one of their website's pages but that was probably 15 years ago. The description was only on the website for a few months and then it disappeared.
