Hi guys! I got this purse from a group of purses in an auction. The creed stamp looks so weird to me, but I’m still learning on how to tell which is counterfeit and which purses aren’t. Anyway here the info:

measures across 11”
Vertically to 7.5-8”

Comments: has a few dints on the brass but who hasn’t?
I'll move this over to the Vintage thread and give my 2 cents!
1- it's genuine, made in 1996. Maybe someone with more experience in rehabbing can comment on the leather.

2- genuine, from the early 1990s

The bag is fake. Sorry.
It was…through Hibid.
The seller is Joes Karat Shop
Lot #43

That seller " Joes Karat Shop " also has at least one other fake "Coach" in that auction, Lot 41. That Signature style fake tells me that the seller undoubtedly didn't bother to even TRY to authenticate those bags.

Joe's Karat Shop owes you a full refund but if he's smart, he won't pay for return shipping and will tell you to dump the bag.

And in addition to one you bought and the other fake @Hyacinth pointed out, he also sold this one:

DON'T buy from Joe's Karat Shop.

Dear authenticators

my inlaw sent me this chunky case but I’ve never seen one without a coach logo on the outside corner. I thought all chunky case have a coach logo outside? This one does not so it’s not authentic, right?

Comments: does the glue-in serial number mean it's 70's era?
It looks good. It could be late 70s or early 80s. I believe they used glued in creeds at least through 1983 but probably not exclusively.
