Hello!
Can someone please authenticate a purse I have? It was given to me by my sister-in-law. I believe it was purchased from a thrift store or from Ebay possibly. The serial number is: GO967-14370. As you can see in the photos, there is quite a bit of fading on the straps and a little on the outside patch. The purse is also flimsy, which is another reason that makes me question its authenticity.

The Stewardess looks good but I don't have a comparable creed from that plant, month and year to compare it to. It's close enough to 2 bags from 2007 to make me feel comfortable with it.

The Station Bag from 1994 looks good.

That's because it's not a Lewiston, it's a Camera Bag Small, style 4011 from the Lightweight line, genuine and introduced in 1990. The Lewiston has only one outside pocket.

I don't have a catalog pic I can post of the Small, but here's the standard size 4012. The details except for the measurements are the same. My paper catalog lists the Small as 9 1/4 x 7 x 2 3/4 inches. Click on the thumbnail to enlarge.

It's genuine and made in 2009. The metallic coating on the leather trim on those Poppy styles was notorious for wearing off quickly. There were quite a few posts here at tPF complaining about peeling and flaking at the time. I don't have an exact name for it, just one of many Poppy Tote styles.

It looks fine to me, made probably in the early to mid 1980s. Obviously the dustbag isn't original.

Good morning authenticators. I have a couple of questions about this bag. While I’m almost certain is authentic, however, I would also like to know what year it was made.
A side question. Does anyone have any info on having a longer strap made so I can wear this bag crossbody? I was thinking about just buying a different crossbody and change the strap but seems like too much trouble.

Vintage 60s/70s Coach NYC Bonnie Cashin Courier Saddle Bag Purse Brown | eBay

Bonnie Cashin. Coach Creed is stamped inside the purse. This bag has been pre-loved and will need to be cleaned and conditioned. I can’t help if I don’t know about the issue though. There are a few wear marks both exterior and interior.

It's genuine, and while it may have originally been designed by Bonnie Cashin, this example was made probably at least 5 years after she and Coach ended their collaboration . There's no way to date it exactly, my guess would be 1979 to mid-1980s.

I can't answer about the strap, sorry. The best places to ask are the Vintage Coach Photos and Chat or the Rehab and Rescue threads at the main Coach forum. Look under "Coach Clubhouse".
