Item: VINTAGE~COACH~1960'S~BONNIE CASHIN~BLACK~SLIM~LEATHER~TURNLOCK~BAG~PURSE~WRISTLE

Listing number: 271886677706

Seller: plentyofpurses

Link: http://item.ebay.com/271886677706

Comments: This wristlet looks authentic to me, but I have seen so few of this design that I wanted some opinions. It looks like it was the inspiration for the fairly recent Legacy Turnlock Crossbody (50210). Does anyone know the name or style number of this item? Thanks in advance, much appreciated!

I don't recognize it. I don't see any proof that it is from the Bonnie Cashin era. I've never seen a Bonnie Cashin that had an eyelet for the specific purpose of attaching a hangtag. Very early Coaches didn't have hangtags. During the era that purses had hangtags that were shaped like that one, the Coach hangtag wasn't the symbol it is today. I can't imagine consumers being happy that there was a hole in the bag.

The zipper and that weird way of attaching the strap doesn't look familiar and the ring is thicker than rings we usually see on bags with that kind of pull. I had a bean bag creed basic bag from around 1990 that had a similar ring but the end of the zipper didn't look like that. I've never seen one like that.

Maybe someone else will recognize it.

I don't think the first one was made by Coach. It looks like someone just attached a hangtag to the key. The other two are authentic.

I wish she hadn't blocked me! I was blocked after posting in the listing she ended before relisting this one. I wasn't even argumentative, which I can be when I want to be!

What amazes me is that PM doesn't seem to be reading her nasty comments!

What amazes me is that even with the comments, someone still bought it.

Yep, and she really got nasty at the end too, hard to believe that whoever bought it actually went through with the sale. But at least my comments didn't disappear immediately, hopefully at least a few people read them and checked out the posts at Ebay's forum.

One step at a time. :graucho:
