I bought this Coach British tan vintage Trail Bag and received it the other day. It measures 7.5 inches in width, 5 inches in height and 3.75 inches in diameter. Is this bag authentic? Etsy listing #2808224692. Seller: HERCoutureResale $149.00

The bag is fake and the seller, HERCoutureResale sells other fakes too and for exorbitant prices! Do not buy from her!

Because the bag is sold, I can't see the listing of the fake bag you bought.

This is another fake - for $370!

And there's at least one other quesstionable listing but it doesn't show the creed.

Please demand a refund.

ETA: I'm not an LV expert but this is such an obvious fake she sold!

Sorry, it's fake. There are problems with the hardware, the zipper pull is fake and never used by Coach, the fonts in the creed stamp and serial number are wrong, the serial number stamping details are wrong, the dates indicated by the serial format don't match the actual date the style was introduced (Fall 1994, which means it should have a serial number that includes the month, year and plant codes AND the actual style number 9955), and I'm sure I could find other problems if I kept looking. I believe the serial number is also in Daria48's Coach Fake Number s List posted here at tPF, I'll have to check.

GET YOUR MONEY BACK.

ETA - I just checked the Daria48 Fakes list, Under the first section for "Always Fake" it says:

"0444-317, 0444-316 AND 0444-315 and possibly others beginning with 0444 - some "classic" fakes are showing up with these numbers and have a number of mistakes in the creed stamps and on the bags themselves. Assume they're all fake.

Any 'classic' leather bags with the # 0444-31(X) and heavy horizontal lines both above and below ("overstamping") the numbers is fake.

" 0212-578 and 1212-578 with and without the same fake "Overstamping" lines have also recently shown up "

I'm doing some research on Bonnie Cashin and her love of double-sided bags. Does anyone have information or catalog pages for the "Double Header" or "Haversack" styles?

It's a genuine vintage style, but you need to look inside near the top for a Coach stamp, small metal tag, or even two small punctures where the metal tag might have been clamped in.
Okay, doing this again since my ridiculous post of a few hours ago. New Years resolution....DON'T post from phone!!!!
So I checked everywhere and there is no sign of a stamp, a tag, nor holes where a tag may have been. I've found a few pictures (mostly here) but there are two styles with different features. If you look at the attached pictures you can see strap grommets vs none and piping vs. binding on the ends by the kiss locks. It's a lovely bag, and I'm dying to start cleaning it up, but if it's not authentic, I'll probably just return it. I've seen pictures of the tag on the one with the piping/grommet bag. Is there a chance that there might not be anything on the other version? The one I have is the top picture.

Ok at the thrift store. This is fake right ? I think I just want it to be real lol
