Comments: HI, can you please authenticate this clutch when you get the chance. Thank you.

It's a genuine Slim Clutch Large style 9555 and probably made in the late 1970s or early 1980s.

After a bit of research, I went back to “rescue” it. Here are some actual pictures of the actual bag. It’s a little squished but hopefully you can get some idea.
Approx. 6”x 7”x 13”

It's a genuine vintage style, but you need to look inside near the top for a Coach stamp, small metal tag, or even two small punctures where the metal tag might have been clamped in.

it's lovely! If you can find a Coach stamp somewhere inside the bag, it would be wonderful. I wish I could find something like that.

Item: willis
Where purchased or how obtained: purchased via the APP "闲鱼" in china.
Comments: i have never seen two screws behide the turn lock. but the leather is so real compared to my real coach bags.
thank you for your time!

So I’ve looked everywhere and I can’t find a stamp nor holes where a tag might have been. I’ve only found 3 pictures online (2 on here). Of the 3, only one has straps without grommets. I’ve also noticed that the piping/ trim around the end pockets is slightly different. It’s definitely very old and it has that Coach quality, but other than the hang tag, nothing to pin it down.

The top picture is the one I have. The bottom image is the one I’m seeing more often.

I'm doing some research on Bonnie Cashin and her love of double-sided bags. Does anyone have information or catalog pages for the "Double Header" or "Haversack" styles?

The bag is authentic, made in 2011.

I haven't seen that type of turnlock plate on a Willis but it could be what they used on the remakes or it might be a replacement. Someone else might have more information on the hardware.
