Hello Authenticators,

I purchased a Hadley Zip from Clothes Mentor and I’m not sure it’s authentic. The zipper seems off to me, no leather pull like the other Hadley Zips I’ve seen online.

Hello Authenticators,

Is there a link to the listing? Is Clothes Mentor the name of the seller or the site?

I'm sorry but you're correct. The bag is fake.

ETA: I found the site: https://clothesmentor.com/

They owe you a refund.

a friend is looking to sell this. I’m not familiar with this particular style of briefcase. I don’t see this kind of flap. Could you please advise what style or name this bag is.

It's authentic. You didn't provide measurements or many details but it is probably a Regency brief #5255, made in the early 90s.

Is there a "made in" tag inside the bag? If so, please post pictures of both sides of the tag.

Although I don't see any red flags, I'm concerned. Generally when items are MFF (made for sale at the Coach outlet stores), it's fairly common to be able to find other examples of the same item.

However in the case of this style, I'm not finding a single other (domestic) example and can only find a few from Japanese sellers.

The problem is that in the last few years, there's been a proliferation of fakes from Japan, and a lot have been very close newer styles.
