No, it's not readable. Can you Save the photo to a file or folder on your computer or phone as a .jpg and then you can hopefully send it on to us?

By the way, it's not from the 1950s like the seller says in the description. Coach wasn't even making any kind of handbags or small duffles in the '50s. If the serial number is correct and if the bag is genuine it would be from the early 1990s. Coach didn't even start to use serial numbers until sometime around 1980.

Dear authenticators, could you please check this bag? Thank you!

I am no expert but I also picked up that this bag could not be from the 1950's. So here is the shot the seller sent me of the inside of the bag. I often wonder if people know what they really have5CD26CD7-81A8-4B02-B94F-32D2F330D3A1_1_105_c.jpeg

I don't know if this is the right place for this canvas tote bag, but if anyone could help authenticate that would be great. Thanks. I purchased secondhand.

That particular bag is authentic but the seller sold a fake. She doesn't show the creed nor state the serial number but there's a notable problem with the front of the bag indicating a Korean-made fake and although the bag is trying to be a Willis, it's missing the back pocket. (ETA: In fact, the seller got a negative feedback for that bag as "not as described." At least the buyer recognized the problems.)

Someone paid $79 for this fake:

Thanks for your input on the bag I questioned. As previously stated, I didn't think it was 1950's as it looked a bit more modern. Not about bags, but I've been a collector of a certain type of vintage christmas ornament for years, and it galls me when people put in their EBay ads that their ornament is mercury glass, when it clearly cannot be due to its age. Sellers should do their homework whether selling purses or whatever!

I've never seen a Coach Fragrance logo before and don't have anything to compare it to. If it was a Gift With Purchase or something similar it would be almost impossible to authenticate. It's not a regular retail item that would have been bought in one of their stores, there are no tags or labels like their handbags or other accessories would have and no production codes or serial numbers. I definitely would NOT recommend trying to re-sell it since there's no way to prove it's genuine.

ETA -If that's your listing on Ebay, I strongly suggest you remove it. Ebay only allows AUTHENTIC brand name items, and if you can't authenticate it, you can't list it.

EETA - I've seen more of these in Completed, none with any valid proof of authenticity and all of them remind me of the cheap "brand name" fakes that flood Ebay every holiday season. The asking prices alone prove they're NOT retail items, none have any identifying or confirmable marks or tags that could be found in any GENUINE Coach Product, and the text on the plastic bags some sellers show don't make any connection back to a valid Coach address either.

Where did you buy this and what other similar "gifts" with other designer brand names were they selling?
