Thank you Hyacinth on the J plant history. I wonder how long they made the Janice, it's such a lovely design, except missing an all important cell pocket. The red Janice was such a good fake, exact leather weight and feel. Fakers usually don't spend so much money on as good material, - even the solid brass buckles! And the dye went all the way through, another costly expense.

Good morning, girls. What do you think about this bag? It is in lovely condition with the clearest creed stamp I have ever seen. It also has an unusual stamp inside the leather flap. Could it be the brand from the leather company? I have an unusual etched stamp in the outside back pocket of my City Spectator bag that I think is a brand. Have you seen anything like this before?

They started making the Janice in 1994 and continued until recently. The buckles on the fake probably aren't solid brass; if they are counterfeiters they aren't going to have any qualms with lying about the metal composition. They lie about the place of manufacture in the creed as well, since it is doubtful many counterfeits were made in the US.

If you had asked us to authenticate before your purchase, we would have been able to tell you it was fake based just on the photo of the zipper pull.

It's authentic, probably a classic pouch. I'm not sure that is the original strap as most straps on this style widen towards the center. The stamp on the inside is a mark of the leather processor. I don't think it is a brand marking but just a code or count.

Interesting, and surprising that Coach would use it on an area that is so noticable. Thanks for the info and expertise. When I sold top quality natural hide leather furniture it was considered desirable to have any brands or markings on the piece.

I haven't seen it before so you may want to wait for more opinions. BUT - the "cwystals" look like CWAP - are they even faceted??? And the chain links are thinner than they should be.

Her "Coach necklace" with the BCA charm is also a chop-shop piece and can't be sold as a Coach product, http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-PINK-...125?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ee21f0fed

and so is the Butterfly Charm necklace, both of those may have genuine charms but Coach is NOT the final manufacturer. Those listings should be titled "Necklace MADE FROM Coach charms" and although she discloses that in the description, that's not enough.

Thanks! I asked because it looks really cheap. It looks like it is made of foam rather than leather.

The BCA necklace link didn't work. This is it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-PINK-...125?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ee21f0fed

ImageUploadedByPurseForum1433703432.770826.jpgmy 3 Janice's. red one is the fake with a D2J-9950 Brown one creed J6B-9950 made in United States. olive one ( the best leather of the 3) creed J2X -9950 made in Dominican Republic. Since there are a lot of Janice Coach bags out there, I suspect a few are worried about if they have a Fake ( a very good one @ that) please tell me the other two are authentic!

They have valid serial numbers but that can never prove something's genuine. We need more photos - creed and serial, top zipper full length plus a bit extra, and the back of the buckles if they're stamped.

This is yet another example of ROSEMERRILY (aka CREAMSICLEMOLLY) chop-shopping legitimate Coach items to make her own hopemade jewelry which she dishonestly sells as "Coach."

The blue pave peace sign (which is also missing stones):

Was separated from this LEGITIMATE item, style 95084. (No doubt, rosemerrily has used the ball chain, hang tag and script Coach for her other homemade NOT Coach items:

Thank you. Have you tried reporting any of her butchered items?
