Just unpacked a fake shipped to me from shopgoodwill online (Florida). The price was good for a swingpack crossbody. I should have asked here first. I should have looked more carefully, their photo had a blurry creed. Now in my hand, I can read it. The "creed" says: YE-02-57-0589. That's a known bogus number. So many things about the bag look wrong and/or cheap. The quality of leather, number one. Also, there's signature fabric on the inside lining and the outside fabric. I think I read here that Coach doesn't do that. The fabric strap has the words COACH all along it. The zipper pull is embossed Coach. The font is wrong on the embossed "leather" (not sure) on front, especially the A in Coach. The lining is cheap polyester, not canvas or sateen. Trinkety hardware. Oh, well. I have a little stack of fakes that I got by accident, I'll throw this one on the pile. Here's the bag: https://www.shopgoodwill.com/Item/132763099 Edit: looking at the bag some more. I don't even think it's leather. :P Should I return it? I only paid like $7 for it.
Update. The shopgoodwill people asked me basically to "prove it" that the bag was counterfeit. What did I think was wrong with it, they asked. "Please advise." I gave them a list, from the YE...creed to the "non-quality" of the leather, to the signature fabric inside and out, the trinket-y hardware, and etc. I asked again for my money back. It's not a lot of money, but now they've got me irritated. I said "Please advise how quickly you will return my money for the bag, tax, and shipping."

In addition to all the other completely valid proofs that it's fake, did you also point out to them that the creed clearly says "... it was handcrafted in the United States of completely natural glove tanned cowhide. The variations in the grain are characteristic of natural full grain leather."?

Were the photos available when you bought the bag? It looks like they were all posted to the listing on October 27.

It doesn't matter how cheap a "Coach" is. Have it authenticated. And read the creed.

Another bag I found: https://www.carousell.com.hk/p/coach-公事包-1123684264/
Please authenticate. Thanks.

^^^ The listing isn't available or viewable and without a creed picture, it can't be authenticated.
For this one, although there are several creed pictures, either flash or angle make them illegible.

I don't see anything obvious as far as problems but that's about the best I can say with those pictures.

I didn't take the time to look carefully at the listing. The thing with this Florida shopgoodwill's bags, the bags are very inexpensive, however they charge a LOT of shipping. So when I've got one I wanted, I looked quickly to see if there were other bags to add to the same shipping order. This bag was $1.99 plus $4.00 handling. So, I clicked "buy" without much thought. Oh, well. Lesson learned. Take the time to really check out a bag before I buy it.

I (hopefully!) found a bag I've been searching for for years! Now just hoping you can advise it's authentic. The listing doesn't have a lot of pictures, so posting additional ones of the creed, style tag, and made in tag. Please let me know if anything additional needed. Thank you for your time!

I'm not comfortable authenticating that bag from a Japanese seller.

There have been a LOT of very close fakes coming out of Japan and for items such as this one where there aren't a lot of listings of the same item to verify and compare, and many of the listings I found are on either on sites where fakes are prevalent or they on Asian websites.

Another detail that bothers me is a flaw that is rare on an "almost unused" item. The broken stitch at the top edge shown in the last picture shouldn't (IMO) have happened in such a gently used item.

Sorry I can't be more helpful. Other opinions are welcome.

ETA:
I'm now even more uncomfortable about the seller.

The handi-wipe material dust bags shown with the items in this listing are fake.

Seller also has a negative and a neutral feedback stating items are fake:

This wallet for which the seller received a neutral "fake" feeedback IS fake:

I didn't go through everything but there's enough evidence and allegations that I'd file a SNAD dispute for a return.

ETA again:
This thread was about the same seller's items:

I'm very excited with this find at a local thrift store. Hopefully, you here will tell me it's authentic! I hope so. (I already bought it. The price was right and I snatched it up.) Creed B4D 9085. It's huge. Measures something like 13 inches tall by 14 inches wide. Bottom is a circle. 9 inches across. I've never seen this bag in person before. I think it's fabulous. I'm going to "rehab" it up! Please and thank you for your expertise. if it's real, how old is it and what's it called? Thanks!!!

It's an authentic duffle sac made in 1994.

It was a great day at the thrift store. I also found this one. Authentico? Thanks. M1269-70745. Also, huge. This measures about 15 inches across by 14 inches tall by 5 inches across the bottom.
