IMPORTANT READ-ME

Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread. No PMs please.
For further information, please refer to the first post on page 1 of this thread.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:
  • FOR ITEMS LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Listing number:
    Seller and site where listed
    Link:
    Comments:

  • FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Where purchased or how obtained
    Comments:
BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

Genuine, but please remember to include the link to the listing and the seller's name or ID. Remember the fake Willis! Speaking of which, have you made any progress with that one?
Thank you so much for authenticating!!!

Regarding the seller and listing, I sent you a PM about that. Let me know your thoughts and if you’d still like the listing posted, I’ll do so right away.

Regarding the fake Willis, at the moment it’s currently boxed up tight so that it doesn’t emit its stench all over my house, and I am waiting patiently to escalate with eBay. I get to do that as of Friday morning so fingers crossed!

After reading through some history of this thread I have an improved understanding of why things need to work the way they do. Should have done more of the reading ahead of time.

For posterity, here is the seller and listing for the green Station bag that was determined to be genuine. Thanks again @Hyacinth !!!

Seller: kermiesgirl

Yes, that's why we recommend that no one brag about or even post about the great bag or other deal they just found until they actually have the bag or other item firmly in their hands. Too many things can happen between buying and receiving, and some less-than-honorable sellers have been persuaded to cancel a public sale to sell it behind the high bidder's back to a private buyer for a higher price. And there isn't a darned thing the original winning buyer can do about it.

Mentioning no names, of course. :annoyed:

But I'll repeat the same offer I've made before. If a REGULAR tPF poster or member finds something really amazing and doesn't want to post about it or ask for a public authentication here, they can send me a PM and I'll do it privately. Just be patient and considerate and DON'T expect a reply in 5 minutes. I don't live here at tPF, sometimes it just feels like it.

This doesn't include resellers or people representing resellers, BTW, I don't have the time or patience to look at multiple bags from professional sellers or flippers, and the price of a basic authentication is part of the cost of doing business. That's what services like Authenticate4u are for. Use their Facebook site, the cost is minimal and the seller can then honestly say it was professionally authenticated by the Premier and most accurate and respected Coach authentication service on the internet.

(The internet in Scotland can sometimes be a bit wonky, so their clients may sometimes need to be patient. And NO, I don't get paid or reimbursed in any way for recommending them, their history speaks for itself.)

ETA - I want to emphasize that this offer by me ONLY applies to Coach bags made between approximately 1980 to roughly 2010. I do NOT authenticate recent styles, sorry.
