LOL! The reason why vak1 removed the listing was because someone by the name of Ben Burned posted on the listing that "I'm sorry to tell you that this bag wasn't made by Coach."

Apparently, that's considered to be defamation because this is the description posted on the newly relisted item:

She also has several of the "modified name" designer fakes listed as "replica" - that's still illegal and should be reportable since Poshmark only does business in the US.

Comments: It's unusual to see fakes from this seller but I question the red and pink fob on the left in the picture. I am sure it's not authentic but would appreciate other opinions.

The red and pink combo definitely has problems. Not just the font on the hangtag, but the point of the strap below the buckle is TOO pointy, Coach buckled straps didn't look like that. And the details just seem more crude than the other charms, especially where the colored enamel meets the base of the handle. The shape of the edges of those bottom corner "leather" reinforcing patches is different too, on the fake they're just a simple curve, but they're recurved and go across the entire base on the genuine charms just like on a genuine Coach bag I don't think a pink and red combo ever was made by Coach either.

Real ones:

I agree it is fake. The hangtag has a groove and ridge I've only seen on fakes. The shape of the flap tab is wrong. The handle is the wrong shape and there is no detailing on the handle; the pink is bleeding onto the handle. The top of the bag bumps up where the silver lines are.

It's fine.

You might want to read Salearea's guides:
http://search.reviews.ebay.com/members/salearea

I second the motion to read the Salearea Guides.

And the seller has the right name and style number too.

BTW for all you serious students, tPF member Netlawyer posted some info on the Savannah Hobo # 4218/4222 a while back:
"This bag was featured in the 1992 catalog when the Sheridan line was introduced. Later that year, Coach issued a Special Edition Fall 1992 catalog which renumbered the Savannah Hobo as #4222 and introduced the slim turn lock used on the Sheridan line for the rest of the time it was offered. Presumably Coach was challenged by Dooney which had introduced the slot and stud closure on its AWL bags at that time. Hard to tell how many of the original Sheridans were sold but they were presumably available for a very short time."

The one in the listing has the original slot-and-stud closure so it's an early 4218 from 1992.

Comments: The links on this look good to me but I don't know enough about the stamps on the back to be sure.

Fake. Those and the (not) Coach hello kitty ones are "hot" on ioffer though.
I reported this one three days ago and it is still up!

Coach keychains never repeat the same charm, unless there are exceptions I don't know about.

Hi all, just wondering if anyone could authenticate this purse for me. I picked it up from a local thrift shop. I did some research and believe its a Sonoma Soft Large Bucket but would appreciate if anyone could have a look. Thanks.

The logos on the back are wrong, and the only Panda keychain Coach ever made AFAIK is a 3-dimensional one. All the other red flags everyone else mentioned are also - well, red flags.

And yes, they're violating the World Wildlife Fund's trademark as well as Coach's - NAIL THE B@STARDS !!!!!

It's genuine, and you're correct about the name. Welcome to tPF! :smile1:
