Good afternoon, everyone. I’m looking for info regarding creed parches, specifically. I recently purchased a vintage bag in an online auction. It looked good in the photos, and with the non-style serial number, I didn’t have a reference to match it to an authentic bag. But when I received it, the poor quality/feel of leather easily gave it away as a fake. I noticed the Creed (top left) was worded differently than the online resources I’ve been looking at, and now I’m questioning the authenticity of 2 other bags I have with the same phrasing (top right, bottom left). I’ve also noticed this specific phrasing on bags for sale through FB, Poshmark, eBay, and the like. Is this creed in specific at all suspect?

Thank you in advance for any information you can tell me on this!

Helen's legacy, if I'm remembering correctly. The style number was correct but the font was not. I used to have the authentic version of it. It was a pretty apple green.

I'm surprised they removed it so quickly!
They (Etsy) didn't remove it. The seller ended the listing when contacted and told it wasn't authentic and why.

Without seeing more of the bags, just creed pictures aren't a good way to determine authenticity.

I'm not sure which creed it is that you think "easily gave it away as a fake" but I don't see any problems in any of the creeds.

If you post pictures of the bags to which they're attached, we can confirm authenticity.

Whatever "online resources" you're referring to, you're either getting bad information, analyzing it incorrectly, or a combination of both.

Nothing can be positively authenticated with JUST a serial number photo. Please follow the instructions in the IMPORTANT - READ ME posts at the top of each page.

And I hope that somewhere in this apparent misinformation you've found, you read that Coach bags after a certain year were made in more than one plant, and the logical conclusion would be that they used different serial number stamps.

Before you waste your time reading bad information, I suggest you read some ACCURATE information instead. Read the first 13 posts just as background since most of the links are old and don't work, but pay careful attention to the rest:

Then post the required photos and information listed in the READ ME post. Separate posts will be fine.
