Hello - I can't find out any information about this purse. I have tried to research it online to no avail. It was given to me from a friend that received it from her aunt. She didn't like it! Thanks for any info.

It's authentic, made in 2000. I think it's called some type of Girlie bag, possibly with paisley in the name.

This is Coach's stock image:

ETA: It's called Girlie paisley perforated hobo.

Just so you're aware of the resources here at tPF that are intended to help buyers research Coach products, the serial number 012-3445 is included on the Daria48 Fake Coach Numbers list posted in the same thread as the Salearea Guides.

And both the Fake Numbers List and the Salearea Guides also mention the spelling mistake in that creed that's found in some fakes - "SCRTCHES" instead of "scratches". ALWAYS read the creed carefully for mistakes in spelling and punctuation and in the actual description of the bag. A tiny percentage of mistakes can be found in genuine Coaches but the vast majority of them strongly indicate that a bag might be fake.

Nothing is "too old" to be counterfeited, but large-scale counterfeiting of Coach bags didn't really start until around 1989 when Coach opened up their first retail location in Japan and gave Korean counterfeiters easy access to their styles. They even created a thriving market by targeting American service personnel stationed in Korea who brought fakes back to the US. And many of the fakes were sold to Japanese buyers, there is still a large pool of Korean-made fakes being sold by both large and small Japanese sellers, and they are almost impossible to report and get removed even through Ebay. Items being sold by sellers located in or claiming to be located in Japan should ALWAYS be authenticated before buying.
Hi Hyacinth, thank you for your info of the history of counterfeited bag, interesting to learn about ! That "SCRTCHES" is so funny I didn't ever notice it at first glance lol, I always keep in mind some famous fake serial number like J8Y, H4B, M4N, but ignore the cases like this 0123445, I should be more careful next time. Thank u again! There is so much more to learn!
