Thank you and be safe!

All the construction details are correct but without the tag we can't say it was made by Coach. My pre-creed courier had a stamp rather than a metal tag (possibly having been made a few years later) and had solid brass stamped on the buckles.
Curious. If it had a metal tag, would the tag have been attached to what appears to be a slit at the top of the the pocket in her last photo?

Thank you so much! It's happy and sad news lol. Do you think it was dyed, or is that an original color?

You would probably be able to tell better than I can, being able to see and feel it. It could potentially be the original color if you don't see any evidence of dye. Pre-creed items often had more vibrant colors than later items.

Is it not authentic?
I am not an authenticator. Look at whateve's post and you will see the Authenticator label under her user name. Whateve and the other labelled Authenticator's are the "pro's" here in this thread. If you go all the way back to the beginning of this thread, it is explained.
I generally try not to comment on people's bags until one of the pro's gives an opinion.
It gets super confusing when people just offer their random opinions or comments before it is authenticated.

I have whats ment to be a precreed dinky where the cartouche is so faint and it come with no hangtag I think. I did not dunk it so as not to lose it completely.
Even though it cant be authenticated as Coach I would certainly have got it for that price. It will rehab beautifully and is still usable. You just cant sell it as a Coach.

There was definitely a small metal plaque exactly the same shape and size as the Coach plaque at the top of that pocket once upon a time. Although it might not be accepted as absolute proof in a court of law, I'm 99.99 percent sure it was made by Coach.

For $8.99, I'd say you've got a keeper, even if you end up hanging onto it yourself instead of selling it. And you might want to be carrying that one the next time you play Bingo or buy lottery tickets, maybe there's still a bit of that luck tucked away in that bag.
