Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread. No PMs please.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

It's fake. I can't imagine Coach would release a bag that didn't have the entire creed stamped. The part of the number you can see is the same as one on the fakes list. The font is wrong too.

Even without seeing the full serial number - and that kind of half-missing stamping would probably never be found in a genuine Coach - I'm seeing other problems. The inside pocket area should never have contrasting stitching, the seaming around the base is very poorly done, the styling isn't quite right for any Binocular-type bag, and the strap wasn't made by Coach.

As for the creed and serial number, please always check the Fakes List posted here at tPF before buying any Coach product. Serial number "012-3445" is listed as Always Fake and there's NO doubt in my mind that's the number in your bag, AND it looks like the creed is bad too, the word "scrtches" looks like the A is missing.

I was browsing and found this already sold one, in a style I have never seen before. I would like to look for one if authentic. I got no results on Ebay or goggle searching for the number. TIA

Hmm, that is so interesting. I don't have that style #, 8152, in my files but it looks authentic. It appears to be a copy of 6152, except with different lining. There was a discussion of these pearlized leather bags in the Vintage Chat thread recently. Some of them have suede lining - possibly just those that were made in Italy.

It looks genuine but I don't have any style name in my records.

PLEASE be extremely careful buying from anyone on Poshmark. We've seen plenty of fakes listed on that site, don't ever buy anything there unless you have it authenticated here first.

I have the made in Italy model style 6152 in fuscia. The lining is a black lozenge fabric. The hang tag probably isn't original to the bag since it has a high patent finish on the Coach side and has silver leather on the reverse. I had it authenticated when I bought it nearly two years ago. The green pearlized made in Italy bag I have does have suede pigskin lining.

I've seen the black lozenge fabric before for #6152. The imprint on the front may vary too. Some have just "Coach" and others have "New York" underneath.
