Comments: I had a wallet in this style (but pre-owned and in sad shape) authenticated here recently by @BeenBurned. It was not ID'd with a style #, etc at that time. Just wondering if this posh listing is authentic and if the tags are correct for the wallet. If so, is there a catalog or other info available?

That price tag does NOT belong to that wallet.

Style 4866 is, as the tag says using Coach's abbreviations, a Lexington Large Credit Card wallet, see the website photo below.

4866 -LEXINGTON LARGE CREDIT CARD WALLET2003.jpg.

We still can't identify the wallet but it's definitely NOT a Lexington or a Credit Card wallet style.

MORE IN A MOMENT...

I'm going to copy something I recently posted to another member about the difficulty in authenticating and ID'ing small items like wallets and cosmetic cases, I hope she won't mind:

"It's really hard to tell with wallets, that's why I don't like doing them. The catalog pictures are TERRIBLE, and that's often the only thing we have to compare them to. And there aren't any creed details or serial numbers that can be compared. The same with things like cosmetic cases, without something DETAILED like a creed, how do you authenticate something? By a tiny Coach stamp in one corner? It's just not enough. We're good, but we're not miracle workers.

"There are also a LOT of wallets that were made just for the outlet stores that we don't even have pictures of, and the outlets have been in business since around 1990. If they were Outlet Only they wouldn't even be in Coach's computer system, and Coach didn't even have a website until around 1997 so all we have to go on are tiny cwappy catalog photos that are useless for authenticating and barely adequate just for identifying. "

Please keep the above information in mind.

I suggest you ask at the ID This Coach thread.

Thank you @Hyacinth for your input and sharing the info you noted above. I did post in the ID thread several days ago, but have not gotten any response. When I saw this posh listing, I thought I'd give it a try. At least I know that it is NOT a Lexington #4866.

Hello

This is a post about the same listing from last January:

And Hyacinth posted the same catalog picture:

And in 8 months, the seller hasn't removed the incorrect tag from her listing.
