Comments: This appears to have an interior pocket formed with leather that the creed is stamped onto. I've not seen an interior pocket like that before. If authentic, do you have a name, style # and any other info to share? Would it likely be BT?
I'm not comfortable with that pocket design and would like @whateve to take a look. Maybe it's a newer style I'm not familiar with. Is there ANY "COACH" stamp on the outside of the clutch? Please post photos.

@whateve - I'm wondering if that outlet stamp if it's real might have been stamped into something it shouldn't have been. Didn't we see a similar style with a full-length leather inside panel recently?

ETA - No, it's not a 7165. That style doesn't have any kind of inside pocket. In fact I can't think of any similar cosmetic case with an inside pocket especially one with a long leather panel.

EATA - Found it. DL Harper asked about a similar case but with a fake serial number less than 2 weeks ago. Seems to me that if that first one was fake, there's a chance this one's probably fake too. The creeds are different but that's not important.
Very interesting! It looks like it is trying to be 7172 cosmetic case large, made between 1996 and 2000. The zipper pull is different, and the shape seems off. I don't like how the bottom lining is seamed. None of my cosmetic cases are finished that crudely. It is possible that a real 7172 would have the pocket made the same way but I have no examples.

We need photos of the back showing whether or not there's a a pocket, and a photo of the front with the flap open so we can see if there's a pocket right under the flap and how it's constructed.

It's NOT a Convertible Clutch, according to your measurements it's too small. The strap attachment isn't right either. "Convertible" means the strap is removable. I don't see any way of removing that strap unless you cut it off.
Not sure. I've messaged the seller for more photos of the bag awhile ago and I am currently waiting for a response.

The description of the 7172 doesn't say anything about an inside pocket either and Coach always mentions details like that in the description.

It's just too similar to that other fake we looked at in July for me to be comfortable with it, especially when we've never seen any examples before with that leather-covered pocket except for one fake. The way the stripes on the lining are lined up, or rather NOT lined up, bothers me too. I'd still like to see if there's a Coach stamp on the outside and what it looks like.

ETA - Found a saved Drilldown pic of the 7172, the outside details are completely different, look at the bottom. Here's a blowup, click on the thumbnail:

The previous request had a "random" long piece of leather sewn to the fabric lining, this bag seems to have used the leather to form the pocket, which confused me. It doesn't seem practical and the added interior weight of the leather just doesn't make sense. I've contacted the seller, asking for a photo of the Coach name and more/better photos. When I have something, I'll add it. In the meantime, thanks so much to both of you for the sleuthing!

Hi guys! I would love to buy this bag but my local thrift store. But I don’t know if it’s authentic— seems too good to be true.

Most likely it is a dinky spectator 6375. It appears authentic. Coach's measurements are 9 x 5 x 1. Is there a zipped pocket inside?
Hi! Here is updated set of photos, with zippered pocket and backside from the seller.

That useless piece of leather bothers me too, there's no reason for it. Whether it was designed to be used as a clutch or a cosmetic case, it would be more practical without that stiff leather thing.

Coach Bonnie Cashin Kisslock Leather Tote

It's genuine. It was probably originally a Cashin design but that particular example wasn't made while Cashin was still designing for Coach and doesn't have any of her signature tags or linings. All evidence points to her having left before Coach started using stamped serial numbers. Coach continued to use and modify some Cashin designs after she and Coach parted company. Coach still owned - and probably still own, AFAIK, the rights to most of the designs she did for Coach.

Please note that bag has been painted or dyed.

Zipper and hardware brands don't matter. The zipper pull is missing.
