  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number

  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

The creed looks exactly as it should for the plant and year and mid-year creed modification. The bag also has one correct detail that the crooks never got right when they copied that style. You can only compare creeds between bags made in the same plant, year and preferably month. There can also be differences between creeds and serials stamped directly onto the bag's leather or pocket compared to ones stamped onto sewn-in patches. This one matches genuine examples in my files. It's authentic.

Thanks! I thought it was legit but the price was almost too good to be true for this color. I had already purchased it but wanted to make sure before it was shipped. I’ve never purchased online from Goodwill and I’ve heard stories about fakes. Appreciate the confirmation! I’m glad I went ahead and went with my gut instinct. It had just been listed and I’ve seen prices 2-3 times as much for just the common colors.

I'd advise waiting for Paypal to respond and refund before contacting your credit card company. You can only file one claim at a time. But follow BeenBurned's advice, she's one of tPF's top experts on complaints, claims and refunds.

Even if I think something is ok I always ask here...its got to go so far to get to me and its a pain to send back if Im wrong.

This seems like an example of a false serial number, with upside down digits. However, I'm wondering if these kinds of errors have been made in manufacturing. I have saved the original listing in case it needs to be flagged.
