So I literally had 3 minutes to bid on this Coach bag before the auction closed. It was a risk I took for a bag in terrible shape but I feel challenged to repair and rehab it (it also needs to be personalized to cover the badly damaged seams). It’s a bigger Carrier bag, not a Musette, as I’m aware now that many confuse the two styles. May I please have its authenticity verified? Thanks in advance.
From seller scshi-93

It's authentic. You're right, it isn't a Musette. The seller is also wrong about the dates. It was made very late 80s or early 90s. Good luck on the rehab!

Good Afternoon - Please authenticate this pouch when convenient - thank you!

Comments: I wasn't able to read the patch well, but it looks like W5S-9927. My search of 9927 brought up something entirely different, so I may be mis-reading the patch. Is it authentic? If so, is there a catalog photo available?
It's been removed. If that was what the creed said, that is probably why.

Apparently I was reading the number correctly. Here's the photo shown in the listing. View attachment 5147731
Thank you @whateve!

Patches in those cosmetic cases NEVER take up one entire side of the pouch. I'll bet you dollars to donuts that piece of leather was cut out of a fake Willis and sewn into the pouch. The stitching is AWFUL and the serial prefix is completely invalid.

I did notice how big the patch was and thought it looked unusual - the reason I was relying on you ladies for guidance! Someone went to so much trouble for nothing.
Thanks so much!
