It doesn't mean they weren't water buffalo; I just don't have any documentation that says it is. There was a water buffalo booklet that came with some wallets in the 80s when they were made in NYC. It's possible they used water buffalo on earlier wallets but it is unclear whether they continued to do so for wallets produced later on.

Remember 2006 Legacy? Many of the items were vachetta but the ads and creeds didn't mention it.
I got several water buffalo card cases as outlet purchases in the early to mid 2000s so they were still making them later. (I believe these were made in China and India. See pictures below.)

Chunky Case

I don’t have a good feeling about this one….
I agree. I am not so sure as to report but I wouldn't recommend buying it. Other opinions are welcome.

The lining texture doesn't look quite correct and the stamp is funky and too far in from the corner.

The only other cases with a stamp like that and missing a creed (sans serial number) in my records are also fake. (The following images are from 2 different fakes.)

I agree with BeenBurned, those details don't give me a good feeling.

Hello, could I check this one? Also it says that it is blue, but looks quite black, even by vintage Coach standards. Would love to know what you think! Thank you as always!

All of the interior photos look like Black. There aren't any shades of blue that I can see.

Inside photos are often more representative of the original color.

Hope you can authenticate. No dash on creed and number are crooked.

Neither of the details you asked about have ANY connection to authenticity in vintage bags. There were a lot of variations in serial number stampings.

It's a genuine Riverside Bag style 4118 from the 1992 West End Lightweights Collection.

Quincy maybe?

Wrong type of strap attachment for a Quincy, it has a tubular strap mounted on the side Instead of the through-the-top strap attachment.

The Quincey was the first thing I thought of too.

ETA -The difference in measurements that I mentioned in my earlier post could depend on where on the bag the measurements were done. And even Coach's measurements weren't consistent, the difference in the early catalogs' measurements for the Crescent Bag that was mentioned in another thread yesterday or the day before is a good example.

Hi Authenticators,
Could you please check out the bag in this lot? I wore it for a little bit but recently found something else so I would feel better if I had your "ok" before I pass it on. Ps. Any input on the belt would be appreciated too especially after seeing all the fake charms lately.
Thank you!
